Bad Experience

I hate to leave a negative review, but this was a terrible experience. Communication was non-existent. I still haven't heard back from anyone. I reached out multiple times and was told someone would reach out but never did. See below for the list of issues. The house wasn't cleaned before we arrived. I asked for someone to come clean it, but we ended up trying to do it ourselves. The floors were full of dirt and sand. Cobwebs in the rooms. Animal feces on one of the floors. Another room had an infestation of flies, both dead and alive. Baby gate was broken. Vacuum and iron are ancient and unusable. Baby gate is broken. Trash wasn't taken out from the previous guests, so the entire bottom floor was full or trash and flies. Grass hasn't been cut in months. Bushes are overgrown and trees need to be trimmed. No central air and limited fans that are also old and not productive for summer heat. The home has great potential, but clearly the owners aren't investing in it. I wouldn't book this home until it receives a major facelift and is run by a better management company.

Great for a family weekend at the lake

Took a trip with our extended family and had a great time. 10 people in total including kids ranging from 2-15 and there was plenty of space for everyone. The location is great, neighborhood is quiet and very family friendly. Everyone enjoyed lots of time at the lake swimming and fishing. The inside of the house is beautiful with stunning views. Very spacious for a large family and plenty of deck space for lounging. The house has everything there to enjoy the lake (chairs, canoes, beach toys, etc). I was really worried about the cleanliness due to other reviews but we had no issues with that. The outside of the house defiantly needs some updating and landscaping but it didn’t stop us from enjoying the space. The biggest issue we found was that the kitchen sink leaks and has leaked for some time so there is mold under the sink and it smells terrible. Overall we would definitely stay there again but the sink issue needs to be addressed.

Summer

Excellent lake view amazing Sunrises/Sunsets. Had a real friendly vibe with outstanding communication. My grandkids had a blast swimming in Crystal lake. Had everything for dining and appliances were all intact and working. Negatives were no A/C but there were fans to use. Great family place and pricing very reasonable. I thank the owners for sharing loved their obvious thoughtfulness.

Deplorable

The house was not cleaned before we got there and there to many things not cleaned to list and the fruit flies where absolutely out of control. Me and my family had to wash all the bedding because it was slept in and cleaned the entire house I would strongly suggest not to rent this house because the vacasa does not do there job and we where 4 hours away from home and had no choice on a holiday weekend I will never rent anything on Vrbo or from vacasa

Beautiful view but . . .

Arrived and property had not been cleaned. Came back the next day after spending first night in a hotel and home was unlocked, dirty towels hanging on a bedroom door, empty beverage bottles stacked by back door and a very musty odor in the home. This place is in a prime location if you don’t mind not having a lock on the door to the home’s interior and neighbor having access to the home’s storage area. Very dissatisfied with property management, Vacasa, they did not resolve my concerns

Labor Day Stay

Great location. Poor maintenance. Trash was overflowing when we arrived. Food was left in the fridge and freezer from the last renters, so it was never cleaned out. Chairs by the lake were broken. We notified management and they said someone local would reach out, but nobody ever did.

Location beautiful

Close to several towns making it very convenient to get around. House was large enough for everyone, however the cleanliness was awful. Cobwebs all over and the screens wer so dirty! This needs a good deep cleaning!

Wonderful experience

Everything was just as we expected. We had a wonderful stay. Quiet neighborhood, nice sunsets and sunrises by the dock. Evenings around the fire and beautiful views from the cottage of the lake. The cottage was clean, beds comfortable. We will definitely be back again soon.

Great location - worn out home

Great location near Frankfort with plenty of opportunities to shop, eat, swim and explore. The house was very worn and the yard is not maintained - at all. I’d stay in the area again but not the house.
