Great getaway house!!

My family and I spent 5 nights at this house, and we had an absolute blast! The layout of the house and all the games really made this a fantastic experience for all of us! We definitely plan on returning here at a future date. Also, Sabrina was a exceptional host….as her communication was always extremely quick and informative. Thank you!! Mike

Great SkI Chalet

Spent 3 nights at this cozy home with 8 young adult family members & friends. Cooked all meals in-house, did Camelback, and partied the rest of our stay with games and great fun.

Weekend Getaway

The concept was good, but the execution was bad. Located 15-20 minutes from Camelback Resort and downtown Stroudsburg/East Stroudsburg, this house had enough space for the six people in our party. Majority of our party said the beds were comfortable (firm memory foam) and the bathrooms were fairly clean with the exception of the shower floors. There is a long driveway that could easily accommodate the four car maximum and access to the property was straightforward using a coded keypad. This house came well stocked with paper products, Clorox wipes, and travel toiletries but the larger lotions and hand soaps were old and have been refilled several times. As stated in other reviews, there is a total lack of privacy. Only the two front facing bedrooms have very thin sheer curtains which leave the other bedrooms, common areas, and the bathroom in the master bedroom completely exposed to anyone on the street or in the backyard, especially at night when the interior lights are on. On the surface everything looks good but when you really start looking, the house needs a deep cleaning. There are spider webs in all the light fixtures, dust covering every single surface, underwear from a previous renter was left in a bedroom windowsill, the microwave was coated with food and spilled coffee, the smell in the basement and great room reminded me of old, dirty cat litter, and the frequently touched surfaces (light switches, doorknobs, stair railing) were so dirty, they have probably never been cleaned. The provided washcloths and towels were left in the washer when we arrived, half of the remote controls do not work, the exterior needs to be cleaned of broken glass and cigarette butts, and the couches and bedding needs to be cleaned or replaced. We were looking forward to playing all of the games featured in the photos, but they were mostly broken and in need of replacement, including the pool table. RENTER BEWARE: the interior and exterior steps are shallow and very steep plus getting into the gated community took us up to 30 mins at times because everyone seems to have issues with the current process.

Nice property, but will not book again

Though I do feel some of the things we’re out of the owners control, we will not be rebooking. When we arrived there was a maintenance person there who stated he would be about 20 mins. No problem at all. However when he left we found out that several areas of the house were without electricity. We were told the maintenance man was aware and would return at 9am. I reached back out to the owner at 1pm as he had not shown up. The refrigerator was not cooling properly, which was know to the owners but not mentioned because there were several bags of ice in the freezer. We were there over thanksgiving so that was a problem. There weren’t not enough wash cloths for everyone who was staying . There was a large leak in one of the bedrooms. Again, somethings were out of the owners control, but when you’re paying thousands of dollars to stay at a place for 3 nights you want it to be right.
