This stay was a nightmare from beginning to end. We were told early check in would be allowed, only to be stranded at a locked door for 2 hours before the host contacted us back to let us know she never actually confirmed early check in. You can see my calls with Customer Service for long periods of time trying to sort the situation as the host was absolutely absent. Staring the trip with uncertainty & irritation, we the people who came along were not enjoying ourselves or eachothers company for the first multiple hours. Entering the unit, a dead roach in the middle of the bathroom with no shower curtain on the shower rod. After a long drive, (and long wait of getting into the unit) the first thing we wanted to do was shower, which was put on hold for about 30 minutes before we located the curtain. The screen door handle broke almost instantly, which I almost forgot to add to the list of inconveniences. There was no way to locate heat. The power randomly went off randomly leaving us to wait to charge phones & rely on the hosts unreliable communication. The host also made note that she will not attempt any kind of refund due to “the smell of cigarettes”, meanwhile there was nothing noted about No Smoking. The stay was horrible, the host was unhelpful. I will never be referring this location or host again.
