View of a Grimy Swamp

The condo itself was clean and the pictures were accurate. There is vagueness in the listing about the amenities of the building, and there is nothing vague about it. There are NONE. There was one working elevator for the majority of our stay and it was very far away from the unit. The view is of the ocean, yes, but also of a green slimy swamp of a pool that hadn’t been working in years. The building has nothing in service (no pool, no ice machine, no gym, no restaurant, no front desk attendants) and is smelly and grimy. There has clearly been very little maintenance or repairs in many years. The instructions for the unit were outdated by many years and half are not valid, including the location of parking or the directions through the building to the unit.

Beach access

There was no good impression of the property. The unit itself was very nice. The property however was a disaster none of the pools were operable as stated in the description. The property was a mess and had no beach access but to go around the block. I was very disappointed with the stay. Especially disappointed as I felt I was deceived on how the overall picture really looked.

I usually book with booking. Tried Vrbo this time and I will never do that again! Amenities were closed and was in small print so easily overlooked. Check in process was not clear. Booked through vrbo but it was through another third party company. Didn’t have proper check in instructions and passcode. I couldn’t even get extra towels! I will never use this site again!!!!! Horrible experience

Disgusted

What posted was definitely not what we walked into. It was beyond disgusting. We turned around and walked right out. I felt it was not safe for my family. I called a VRBO rep immediately to report. We had to try and another place for the night. We had just drove 4 hrs to get there. Still to this day nothing has been done . But they have removed from site. I will be very reluctant to ever use VRBO again. It was an awful experience. Ruined our 4th of July weekend. Had extremely upset children.

Musty smelling room and overall cleanliness not ideal

The condo has a musty smell. It would be helpful to have a small dehumidifier in the room. Carpet is filthy and over cleanliness is not ideal. The shower curtain had mildew on it. My husband requested a call from the management when we arrived and didn’t receive a call the entire time we were there. All he wanted to know was where the ice machines were located, but we found them. Point being, nobody called and there are no signs to indicate where the ice machines are located.

Unhappy

All (Indoor and outdoor) pools and spas were shut down. I had no notification that they all were closed which upset me very much. Also, not able to actually talk to a live individual instead of through email doesn't make for a vacation when you have to keep checking your electronic devices to see if somebody responded. That is not a vacation. A phone call or face to face saves a lot of time and get a better understanding of the answers. More than likely will not book through you again.

The great view

Well worn unit but great recliners and view. Ice machine wasn’t working but plenty of free ice down the hall. Parking wasn’t a problem and people were friendly..

Very nice place

The place was very nice and clean. We only had a small problem with check in. It was fixed first thing the next morning. The view was amazing! There are plenty of things for you to do while you stay as well.

July 2022 Vacation

This was a new VRBO listing, and we were grateful to have found it as we didn't book until the week before! This is a resort I have stayed at previously, though. My niece and I (both in our 50s) enjoyed our experience overall. Here's some good things to know for future guests: 1) Print off the many-digits access code for the room and don't depend on pulling up the email with the code on your phone when you are checking in, because you may just accidently leave your phone in the room and not be able to remember the code to get back in the room. My suggestion -- write the code on your hand with an ink pen so you don't have any problem getting to it as you are moving your stuff in the room and make sure all other guests have the code on them, as well. 2) The listing says free HBO. It's free Showtime. HBO is not available on the TV. Suggestion: Bring an HDMI cable so you can connect your laptop to watch movies/shows using your streaming accounts. 3) Some electrical outlets are older (especially in bedroom) and your cords can fall out. Suggestion: Bring an extension cord/power strip. 4) The microwave is very small. That was fine for us, but may be important for other guests to know. Enjoy your stay! We enjoyed ours!
