This was my 2nd time staying here. Loved it the first time, 7 months ago.
The 1st thing that went wrong this time was that I had booked from a site that stated the pet fee was $25, but the actual charge was $75. The response from the clerk was "Well you should know what you are supposed to pay, that's your responsibility" even though I had it in writing.
When I got to the room the AC was on full blast and the thermostat was at the lowest setting. The thermometer read 49 degrees. That's wasteful and uncomfortable. I was told, "Well guests leave it that low." Shouldn't that really be part of the cleaning or room check? Staff should set rooms to moderate temperature settings. After more than 30 minutes of adjusted AC, the room was only at 52 so I turned on the heat in July. I tried shutting the fan off all the way, but then the room smelled like smoke.There was also significant wall damage.
So I decided to wear layers and watch TV. The room had 2 TVs and 1 remote. The remote wouldn't work with either TV. I went back to the front desk. The same clerk changed the batteries and said to call if it still didn't work. It didn't. He came up, agreed it didn't work and told me "I just work the front desk" I asked him to try to figure something out like a different TV or remote. He said he would be back in a minute. I waited a half hour and went back downstairs. He had gone home! His replacement did try to troubleshoot and be helpful. Nice guys but I think more training is needed.
