Truly Paradise!

Mountain Modern is in a glorious location. Surrounded by aspens and wildflowers with beautiful views of the valley, every minute was a treat! The apartment was spotless, spacious and as advertised. The host, Jen, was very helpful before we arrived and while we were there. Very friendly. She gave us wonderful ideas for our stay.

We stayed for 5 days to attend a conference and to explore the backroads of the national forests here.... to revel in the beauty of the wildflowers! every minute was exquisite!

An excellent summer getaway

We stayed at Mountain Modern the first week of July and had an absolutely fantastic experience. From the stunning views of Mt Crested Butte and the surrounding mountain ranges to the abundance of deer and humming birds, this property truly offered the perfect mountain getaway. The space itself was clean, modern, and beautifully designed. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, including a small kitchenette, cozy beds, and a comfortable living area. But what truly set Mountain Modern apart was the hospitality of our host Jen. She was incredibly helpful and accommodating, offering great suggestions for activities and restaurants in the area. Her attention to detail and friendly demeanor made our stay even more special. Overall, our vacation at Mountain Modern exceeded all expectations. We had a wonderful time exploring Crested Butte and surrounding areas, and this property served as the perfect home base for our adventures. We highly recommend staying here for anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable mountain getaway. A huge thank you to Jen for her exceptional hospitality - we can't wait to come back!

We loved Mountain Modern!

So often you experience a let down when you first see the vacation property you’ve rented, but with Mountain Modern our experience was the opposite—the hill side location and stunning views exceeded our expectations! Jen’s cozy space provided the perfect aerie from which explore the surrounding 4x4 roads drenched in glorious fall colors. We loved having coffee on her deck with its view of Mount Crested Butte. We even saw a moose stroll by one morning! We also appreciated Jen’s many helpful tips both before and during our stay. For instance, she would not only recommend a restaurant, she would text it’s location as well so you could locate it on your phone. We will be recommending Mountain Modern to our fiends!

Mother/Daughter Time

Mountain Modern did not disappoint! What a beautiful location to enjoy all that Crested Butte has to offer. This place was perfect for my daughter and I to spend 5 days together before she goes off to college. Access to the Snodgrass trail right outside the back door on our first day was such a treat. Long Lake is a short drive or even walk from the location and thanks to Jen’s (the host) perfect directions we found this hidden gem and had the best time taking a cold but amazing dip in the lake. The place is beautifully and comfortably designed. We had everything we needed. Another highlight was enjoying my morning coffee on the deck breathing in the mountain air while looking at Mt. Crested Butte. We would definitely stay here again!

Great location and beautiful rental

We could not have asked for a better location for the wildflower viewing and hiking in mid July! Straight from the house we got to the Snodgrass Trail that was gorgeous! We brought stuff to assemble a chicken Ceasar salad and ate on the deck during twilight while we got to watch the stars come out. There is not a lot of cooking you can do in the room, but it was nice to have a mini fridge and a toaster oven to warm up some bread. The restaurants in CB were really busy during this time, so getting to be creative at the guesthouse was nice. The second night I got to watch hummingbirds fight for the feeder as dusk arrived. The place is clean, modern, cute and new. The bathroom is huge and wonderful. There is a sloping ceiling in the sleeping area. I am only 5’5” and I hit my head pretty hard on the ceiling to the point where I ended up on the floor, oops! Because of that, there is no room for a dresser, but there is room on the floor in there to spread some stuff out. The sleeping area does not have a door, which was not an issue for us. It will be nice once check in and check out instructions get placed in VRBO so that there is one place to go for the info. Jen is so incredibly nice and caring. She is very responsive and easy to talk to. Super host, amazing spot!
