Excellent old school motel

I absolutely love this place, so many independent mom and pop places have really gone downhill in New York state. This place is the exception and is exceptional. Brings me back to when I was younger and it was never a guessing game. Old school hotel with an indoor pool and an outdoor pool, a jacuzzi tub, and a small sauna. Rooms were kept up nicely. Nice views of the lake. The grounds were kept up nicely as well. I will be returning.

Beautiful location overlooking the lake. Very clean, but odor of cleaning chemicals was overpowering for many hours. Also, there is a door adjoining next room, and we were able to hear every conversation our neighbors had. We felt like we were sharing a room with another couple! I would have shared this with the employee when checking out, but she didn't even ask how our stay was.

What a sweet place, loved all of the scenery around the lake. Enjoyed the balcony, quiet and peaceful. Loved the towels, and the bed was comfortable.

Superb!

We stay in hotels more than 150 nights/year. It is always a shot in the dark when you select a "Mom & Pop" establishment. We chose Lake N Pines because it had good reviews and it offered a nice view of Lake Otsego. After our room was assigned and the view was so-so, I asked for a different room with the best view and he kindly switched me to a room with a superb view of the beautiful lake. Besides our room being very clean and spacious, the grounds outside are immaculate. It is obvious they care much about the appearance of the place. We make this trek eastward from Indiana toward New Hampshire at least twice/year but had never come thru this area. We really enjoyed our two days in Cooperstown and when we come thru again - Lake N Pines will be our stopping place. Thanks staff for a great experience. We had a wonderful time in Cooperstown

The property has an incredible view of the lake. The room was clean with an old school feel. From getting an actual key to having to the decor of the room, it felt like going back in a fantastic way. The pool area includes a hot tub and sauna, which was a huge plus.
