Front desk staff friendly and accomodating. Cleaning staff good. Gym access with good workout facility. Fresh cold water available in Gym and Foyer. Some room lights not working. Door sensor and swipe card issues. Parking is next to hotel but requires third party payment $NZD 25. Maintenance of property requires some attention. Did not have meal at hotel as lots of options outside but prices are very reasonable. Central prime location.

Perfect location, but disappointing service. This hotel is centrally located and within easy walking distance of numerous dining options and the beautiful Botanic Gardens. While the room and property conditions are quite good compared to other options in Christchurch, the service fell short. The staff were unhelpful with tour planning—I actually found more assistance using Google Gemini. Additionally, breakfast was average, and be aware that barista-made coffees like cappuccinos incur an extra charge on top of the breakfast price.

Yes the room was clean and the staff were courteous. However we were very disappointed that having booked the room in February nearly nine months before occupancy and that our booking was for five (5) nights that a room with a view and higher up the level would have been more appropriate, rather than one overlooking the air conditioners.
