I stayed here for approximately 6 weeks. Pros: The location is great! It's walking distance to a lot of cool spots in Lincoln Park/Lakeview, and accessible by transport, there's a Divvy station around the corner. It's on a dead end street so it's much quieter than the main streets, but is still just a few steps off of Racine. It's actually larger than it looks, there is a second bedroom that was not in the pics, which allowed me to have a separate home office. The WiFi is fast and reliable.The host was friendly and responsive to issues. CONS: It was not disclosed in the listing that you have NO CONTROL OVER THE THERMOSTAT! The air conditioning is shared with the upstairs unit, and there is no thermostat in this unit. The host was generally good about adjusting the temperature remotely when asked, and it turned out not to be a major issue, but if he is renting to a group upstairs that you're not temp compatible with, it would be unpleasant. One of the mattresses was badly stained and should have been replaced. I swapped it out with the other one that was less comfortable, but at least it wasn't gross.
