Christmas Visit

The house is beautiful. The deer feeder never came on at 7:15pm so that was a little disappointing. The toilet seat and lid in the master bath was not clean.But overall was a great stay.

Weekend at the lake

The house was near the lake and nice 3 bedroom house with game room / pool table. No issues with the house and the check in process. If you like it cold in the house, you may want to ping the owners as the thermostat is limited to 70 as the lowest temp setting. Check out process was simple no issues. Overall good experience

Cozy house with game room, close to everything!

We stayed at Bob's for almost a week. The house is cozy, super spacious, the carpet is clean and soft, everything you might need is there including a crib, a pack-n-play, baby gate, all kitchen necessities, night lights, chargers, fans. The game room made it for us: pool, ping pong, darts. The littles could sleep upstairs while the older kids joined us for pool and music at night time. It was so much fun. The house is in a great location. This visit, we ventured to Gruene, Wimberly, and Comal Park where we swam all day in Canyon Lake. But from past visits I know this home's location allows for easy travel to the San Marcos outlet malls, the Caverns, the rivers, fishing, even San Antonio are all close enough for a day trip. It was easy to get a Walmart delivery here with groceries, we even Doordashed once. There are several great restaurants around too but make sure to check their hours online first. Maven's is our favorite! As other reviews noted, the home is a bit warm. I feel they were generous with the AC limits but there are lots of temp schedules programed so if we were at the home we'd have to adjust when it switched. But I get it. The owner does provide fans that helped and we brought our own after reading the reviews. I think the AC just has a hard time keeping up with the Texas heat but we're used to it. It definitely wouldn't be a reason we wouldn't return. All around, a great trip based out of this great home. We would definitely stay here again! Even in August!

Nice house with plenty to do

Loved the house and really enjoyed the game room. Made the evening down time more relaxing and enjoyable. The deer in the area was a highlight for the kids. Most come right up to you to let you feed them. Only issue is the A/C is set high and does not allow you to go below 74. This is an issue with asthmatics and made sleeping hard. Everything else was great though. Lovely home.

4th of July

House was fine, but no water in the lake. We enjoyed playing pool and the hottub, but if you are coming for the Lake....it's at an all time low. Only 2 boat ramps open out of 20, and limited boats daily. The house was accomondating for our family, and we made the best out of our stay as we could. Had to leave a day early due to Hurricane Beryle heading to our hometown.

Quiet getaway

Great place to stay with a comfortable feel. The home was clean and in a quiet neighborhood. We enjoyed the pool table and Darts. We were disappointed there was no free access to the lake but still enjoyed ourselves at Comal Park and boat ramps. We would definitely stay here again!

Home Away From Home

The home was relaxing and has a great game room. The neighborhood was great and even all the deer! We loved how there were many things available to use such as detergent, deer feed, condiments, board games, etc. It was a nice home away from home.

Great location plenty of deer property was clean house was clean beds at firm. Hot tub and jacuzzi both worked and very enjoyable. Large kitchen and bedrooms. Hot tub just outside master with french door for access. Nice gameroom with pool, ping pong, darts, plenty of board games.

Amongst the hot tub, the complimentary bottle of wine,coffee, game room.. everything was perfect. So clean and everything you needed was ready and waiting for you. Even the instruction guide was full of information. We loved Bob's Get Away in the heart of Texas!

Bob"s House was Great

The house was outstanding in all respects, very comfortable, very well equipped., and in an great location. We enjoyed feeding the deer each morning. We had an excellent time staying in the Canyon Lakes area.

The house had everything we needed. Games, books, movies, feed for the deer, plenty of toiletries and linens. The kitchen was fully stocked with cookware and dishes including condiments in the fridge. There was firewood and kindling for the fireplace which was great for the freezing temperatures outside. The hot tub was great and they provided swim towels. My youngest was pleasantly surprised that the lamp in the bedroom doubled as a night light and there was a children's book in the night stand. GPS got us to the house just fine, but an address or some kind of identifying marker on the house or fence would help us know we were at the right place. We would have loved some throw blankets for the couch, but we really enjoyed our stay. It was a great family friendly winter getaway.
