Beautiful views to escape into

My husband and I stayed two nights as an early anniversary getaway. The location is perfect; we were close enough to go into Wimberley for the day but far enough away that we could see so many stars in the night sky. The views from the porches were spectacular and exactly what we wanted.

Beautiful cabin, amazing view

The gorgeous view from the balconies of this home is amazing. The cabin was very clean, tastefully decorated and a perfect choice for a weekend getaway. Highly recommend.

Cabin was just as listed. Hot tub is a nice touch, just it would be nicer if did not run all the time. Bedrooms are nice. Please update mattress on downstairs bed. Now for the great things about the cabin. The listing is spot on in description. Cabin sits back off the road, has nice parking area, great views from both rear decks. Has everything you need.

Wimberley Getaway

A very cool rustic log cabin with amazing views. We found it well stocked and equipped with whatever might be needed to enjoy our stay. It is close to Wimberley for market days. We enjoyed the hot tub and the view.The only complaint i had was that the king size bed the we wanted to sleep in is on the 2nd floor up some fairly steep steps. My wife and I get up through the night and we didn't want to navigate these steps. The queen size bed downstairs was comfortable enough but the ceiling fan sounds as though its about to fly into the corner of the room.

Great time!

We enjoyed our time at Backbone Vista. The solitude, beauty of location, amenities were all great. We had a little trouble figuring out the hot tub. Posted instructions as to the location of the panel that accessed the controls would have helped. The cabin was adequately clean but a good dusting of everything would have greatly improved our stay. It seemed that the items on tables, etc., were just dusted around. And the floor, particularly under the TV table was quite dusty. Areas in the corners of kitchen cabinets didn't appear to have been wiped...just the main area. We did thoroughly enjoy our stay but a bit more cleaning would have made it better.

Celebrated our 19 year anniversary

This cabin had the best veiws of the devil's backbone. We loved just relaxing on the deck and listening to the cutest little radio/record player they had inside. Spent the evening grilling up some fajitas on the gas grill taking in the veiws. Everything you need was easily located in the kitchen and had a selection of seasoning. We spent some time in the hot tub the only thing is the jets that makes the bubbles wasnt working. That's was kinda a bummer but not a deal breaker for us. We still had a wonderful time.. the upstairs bedroom was very cozy and had a super soft bed. We also loved that one of our favorites bars "The Backbone Tavern" was 5 minutes from this property. Such a little hidden gem this cabin was we would visit again!

Beautiful views, disappointing outcome

When we pulled up the the cabin the sun was setting right over it and I could see the rollings hills, it was beautiful. The hot tub was a great amenity however because it was so cold we lost water overnight despite keeping the faucets dripping. I called the property management company the next morning to let them know, they informed me this cabin has a well that probably froze over. We left the faucets dripping all day while like they said but still came back home to no water. We ended up leaving late that night and didn't complete our stay because of this. Beware to rent in winter.

Peaceful Cabin/Great Views!

Clean, adorable secluded cabin with phenomenal views! Super peaceful and private.Hot tub was a disappointment and not hot at all.it was one of the main reasons for going but was very old and not hot.The cabin was cozy, nice beds and linens and the views were epic!

Great Rustic Cabin

We enjoyed our stay at this property. The cabin was as described. It is off the beaten path and very quiet. Beautiful scenery. 15 minutes from Wimberley. We loved our stay.
