Older resort. Needs some upgrading. Very hard to make reservations for dinner and seemed like they are very short staffed. We had a few problems with the adjoining room door that we called about but no one ever came to fix it. And we ordered room service a few time but it literally took hour to get there. We order two hamburgers at 10pm and they didn’t deliver it until 1:30 am?!

Overall the hotel was underwhelming. The beach was full of seaweed and no attempts were made to try and clean it up for the guest who enjoy the beaches. The app to reserve a La carte dining didn’t showcase the right menu for dinner meals so it was a bit disappointing. Cleaning staff and spa staff were the friendliest. The dining staff could take a lesson from their book. Tipping is an option NOT a requirement so please remind your bar and dining staff of that fact. The things I enjoyed most were the spa experience, the weather and the hospitality area they provide if you have a late flight as it was very thoughtful and appreciated.

We recently stayed at the Royalton Riviera Cancún and had a mix of experiences during our visit. On the positive side, we really enjoyed the Encore swim-up bar—Javier and Carlos were absolutely fantastic and made our time there even more enjoyable with their friendly service and great drinks. A big shoutout as well to Miguel, who made our omelettes most mornings at the buffet—he was always kind, efficient, and a great start to the day. Unfortunately, the rest of our stay didn’t quite live up to expectations. We were constantly approached by staff trying to upsell extras, and guest services even attempted to sell us a timeshare, which really took away from the relaxing vacation vibe we were hoping for. Additionally, it was surprisingly difficult to make dinner reservations, and there were times when finding food felt like a challenge, which shouldn’t be the case at an all-inclusive resort. All in all, the service from a few standout staff members made our trip better, but the overall experience was underwhelming and fell short of what we expected.

First of the food was amazing, the rooms were really nice. The pools with swim up bars were spectacular. However there are a few downsides. We arrived at the property early and though they allow you to enjoy the property offering at that time, our room was not ready at 3pm, we had to wait for 30 more mins. Secondly, i feel like the elevators are old and we got stuck in the elevator for a good 20mins in such hot weather, after someone came to fix it , there was no apology whatsoever from the admin.

Property is huge and surrounding is clean and taken care but inside the building room hallways is dirty. Staffs are not providing good service . At the buffet while eating , they took away the cups and clean up fast to finish their work. They don’t wait for guests to finish having meal. Stop I’m not happy another one from the beginning of the first day we started it terrible OK how is surviour they didn’t put towels the first two days. OK OK under that and then we could be some hard to change the new room after second day OK next day we can stay in electricity so they were blaming us and then they did our towers no bath towels no bathmat no soap no cream nothing inside about three people stay there there’s no not even anything that we have to ask every single thing every single thing we had to ask and when we changed to the new old room to the new room, they said they told us to leave the bags in the Orville the bell boys come and change things in the new room so I said no I’ll take it. Don’t worry you just pack everything and leave at 11 o’clock and then we wait until six or 530 after numerous calls finally they arrive and I had to go down and speak. Louder to get my stuff and they have no idea what’s going on. The staff doesn’t know I went to reception told me to go to guest service. The boys had to go to guest services and then I called and they were not listening properly. they are ignoring and talking in language and they’re not listening and answering my question and I’

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hotel and appreciated many aspects, However, there was one significant issue that affected our experience: the towel situation regarding sun loungers. It was frustrating to see guests reserving chairs as early as 5:00AM, which left our group scattered and sometimes without a spot to relax. While I understand the desire to claim a sunbed, it should not come at the expense of other guests' enjoyment. We often found ourselves having to stash our belongings on the outdoor snack area chairs just to enjoy the pool and beach, as some guests would leave their towels on chairs all day without returning all day or some people would put multiple towels in all pool or beach areas so they could do both at the same time limiting chairs for other guests. I believe the hotel can accommodate more guests, but the limited availability of beach and pool chairs creates a challenging scenario for everyone, especially for those not in the Diamond Club. We had to sit at diamond club before we got kicked out to go back to the main area to not find lounger. I hope the management can address this to enhance the overall experience for all visitors

Property was great. The staff is very useless not accommodating at all. We had a large group and restaurant staff was always unhelpful and reluctant in helping Check in process is very unorganized we waited in line to check in it took about 35-40 mins, were told rooms were not ready and to come back at 3 to get room number (we expected this as it says check in starts at 3). Went for lunch and came back having to stand in the same check in line again and being told multiple times to switch lines as this was not the line for pre checked in guests, this process took and additional 45 mins
