Relaxing
If you are looking for something off the beaten path, this is definitely the place. Location right on river lends to quiet nights and relaxation. We saw a lot of wildlife during our stay. The driveway is a 1.2 mile one lane dirt road so prepare accordingly—thankfully we have a truck!

Nature's amphitheater
This is why we love vrbo. What an amazing find! This house is part of a very small community isolated from the hustle and bustle of the rest of the world. It is right on the water in the middle of the Florida wilds. The music you hear from the surrounding wildlife is unlike anything I've experienced in Florida. And with a screened in porch that has a swinging wicker chair to compliment other wicker furniture, you can sit out there for hours enjoying the concert. The house itself is big and has the perfect sized table for board gaming. We bring our board games wherever we go, but they do have a game cabinet filled with a pretty nice selection of games that are in decent shape (We pulled our signature move of leaving a copy of Monopoly deal card game in that game cabinet). The place is very clean and remodeled very well, but if you're looking for luxury this may not be what you're looking for. I'm not suggesting that it's in bad shape, but if you're looking for those really big fancy showers that propel water on you from seven different directions, you won't find that here.. Not only will I recommend this location to others, but we will definitely be coming back. It would be the perfect writer's retreat, even though it has three bedrooms. This was to celebrate my 60th birthday with my wife and two grown kids. What a perfect choice for this family time. I could not be happier.

Prize at the end of the road
The property is beautiful - we drove in at night and the very narrow sand and gravel road was very deceptive and a little scary but the property is definitely a little jewel at the end of the road.

Rustic, Quiet Getaway
The property is located at the waterfront and surrounded by what seems like a protected wild land. It is beautiful and green and pretty rustic. We saw deer and wild birds and lots of lizards. All modern amenities are available, but dated. The rooms could use a thorough cleaning, as well as the porch furnishings. My bedsheets had sand in them and the pillows smelled used. Check your bedding’s before first use. There are extras in a wardrobe in one of the rooms. Overall, a wonderful stay.

International Experience
This property was perfect for our group!!! It was clean, comfortable and we enjoyed coffee by the river each morning! Even saw an alligator swim by on one occasion. It rained pretty hard one night and we were concerned our car would get stuck at first, but it ended up being no problem. I would highly recommend this property as a wonderful getaway with plenty of privacy, but close enough for anything you need.

Fish Camp
I would not recommend this. It is nothing more than a fancy fish camp. The entrance to this “Retreat” is literally 1.5 miles of an off-road, very rough trail. You will encounter oncoming traffic, of which one of you will either have to back up to a clearing or you will have to pull off into the wooded area on the side of the path. If your vehicle is not built for off-road travel, consider the repairs to broken suspension items, scratches on your paint. Routine maintenance would help. The screen porch is useless. The roof did keep the rain off. The microwave/toaster combo works, but all of the labels for the buttons were unreadable so you cannot tell what button does what for which part, toaster or microwave. The stove works well, but the stove top burners are in desperate need of cleaning or replacing. All four were disgusting with burnt spills accumulating in the pans. The oven needs a deep cleaning and the tin foil that lines the bottom needs to be thrown away. The refrigerator was full of items left by previous tenants. In today’s world, I will not trust anything left by anyone, I prefer an empty cupboard and refrigerator. The furniture is very uncomfortable. The lighting is dismal. Showers were tiny, small in dimensions. Shower heads were pathetic. More could be said, but none good.

Away from it all.
Out in the woods, away from the hustle and bustle. Peace and quiet.
One issue with the cabin was the gas grill. We couldn't use it. It didn't look like it's been cleaned in a while. Trash can (outside) was full when we arrived.

Nice little house on a quiet riverside. I would recommend not driving any kind-of sports car to it and someone hide the dishwasher but other then that a wonderful place to get away!!

Girls Weekend
For a quiet, nature-filled getaway, this place is great. It is very old Florida. My only word of warning would be to be ready to hand wash dishes (no dishwasher), but otherwise I think this place is a great retreat. Clean, comfortable beds, amazing views.

Awesome little clean cottage on the river - if you like rural remote and wild life this is awesome - not the Florida of concrete we are most familiar with - a little off the beating path but worth it !

Restful
This property is a great getaway if you are looking for a restful time surrounded by nature. The hosts are amazing, we went for our anniversary and they left us rose petals, wine and a card. The river is beautiful. You can really getaway to rest here. We saw so any deer throughout the day and lightening bugs at night. Overall a great experience.
