Every year, my family and I anxiously wait for our yearly family vacation at Boyne. We’ve never had any issues when we stayed there and we’ve used Vrbo. HOWEVER, we had no clue what we were getting ourselves into this time, this was our first time renting out a unit managed by VACASA. For those of you who have never rented these units, there is an upstairs and a downstairs, you can rent just the top, bottom, or both. They are very large and comfortable units. We have both rented top alone, bottom alone, and both before as we’ve been there many times in the past.First thing we noticed was that the doors that connect or separate both units were completely open- unlocked, and there were other people staying downstairs. No key was left for those doors, we only had the code lock in the front entrance. I immediately contacted Vacasa, it was horrendous!!! They kept transferring me to different people and the people I spoke to had NO CLUE what I was talking about. I explained to them the door situation and they told me someone would be out to lock those doors. I also mentioned that our microwave was broken and that we had tons of prepped meals that were meant to be easily microwaved so we could go out and enjoy ourselves as we would always do every year. They also said someone would be out for that.
