A lovely, quaint cottage in a pretty fishing village. The house is compact but offers two spacious bedrooms and en suite bathrooms.Very close to the Bay and within a short waling distance of local shops, this is an ideal location for travelers looking to explore the area from a conveniently located base.Our only minor quibble relates to the communications with the property management company, An enquiry about adding an extra night went unanswered while the various subsequent texts and emails had the feel of chatting to an AI rather than a human being.Despite this, the property is pretty much as advertised and is recommended.

The bed in the back bedroom provided no support & caused back problems the entire 6 nights. Sheets in front bedroom were scratchy & uncomfortable. None of the living room furniture was comfortable. Ants were in kitchen daily, very noisy construction M-F nearby all day. Shower curtain had mold. Kitchen was nice besides ants. Vacasa told me to strip both beds and do laundry but would not allow me one extra hour to check out. Do NOT recommend. Very disappointing for the price. I sent photos to Vacasa but they did nothing once I checked out.

Beautiful house, great location!!! Beds were comfortable!! The kitchen had every thing that you would need!! The only issue we had was the outside garbage was completely full when we got there an then a racoongot into it in the middle of the night.

Spectacular view!

This peaceful cottage has a wrap around deck from which you can watch the sunset over the Bay! The kitchen looks new and has all you could need, including a coffee station. It is centrally located allowing you to walk to the Bay and local delis, restaurants and a grocery store. Quiet neighborhood. Sunny back deck. We had a wonderful time!

Great place for a family of four

Our family of four plus a dog had a great time at this property. It’s a good size for up to four (dining, beds and seating would be hard for 5), and the location is great. We booked because dogs were allowed, but the back yard is not fully enclosed and dogs aren’t allowed on the furniture - our dog rolled with it, but it was unexpected. One of the showers was really hard to use without getting water on the floor, but the other bathroom was more kid-friendly. Also, the heater did not work, and it got chilly in the evening. The kitchen had all the gear we needed and some basic pantry items, and the shop across the street (Diekmann’s) was incredibly well stocked. This would be a great place for a family of four to stay for a longer trip, the washer/dryer and kitchen make it an easy place to settle in. Also liked that the TV and clocks were available, but not the center of attention - made it easy to switch off and focus on the people. Heads up to vacationers: the restaurants and shops in the area can close early, so get your supplies early and take advantage of the full kitchen. Also, there are limited sidewalks, so plan to drive most places except Diekmann’s and the shops off Bodega Avenue, or other places you can reach by walking through the neighborhood and carefully crossing the 1. We truly enjoyed our stay, and none of the negative bits mentioned were enough to lower the rating - this was a great place for our family.

Great place for dogs and partial handicap

We were able to take my 90 year old mom with us and our 2 dogs. The house has a good open floor plan for her to move around with her 4 wheel walker. I grow up coming to bodaga bay and going camping at Doran beach. With my mom we could not go camping. This cottage was a great way to stay with all of us under one roof.

We came back to this wonderful cottage and will continue to return in the future. It is cozy and comfy, it is fully stocked, doggie supplies too, in an awesome neighborhood, close to everything in Bodega Bay. Check in and out is so easy. And the communication with property management is great.

I Would Stay Here Again

I would stay here again. It was clean. The house had all the amenities I needed to be comfortable, and all the lights worked. The furniture was comfortable. We only slept on the king-sized bed, and it was wonderfully comfortable. The sheets were nice cotton, and there were extra blankets and pillows. I am not comfortable giving it a five-star rating, because there were a few glitches with the house, during my stay. The shower in the back laundry/bathroom appears to have either mold, or the grout is discolored near the bottom. I did send a picture to the company. They said they would handle it. The most frustrating thing to me was the lack of communication about what procedures to follow, and how to lock the door from the outside. The first morning, I had to leave without locking the door, because I tried every button combination, to no avail. I called and spoke with a representative of Vacasa. At lunch, I called the company again, and they couldn’t tell me if anything had been done. I had hoped to avoid the 20-minute drive to the house and back. I arrived at the house to a note from John, who had locked the door. I called John and he walked me through the steps to lock and unlock the door. The instructions for how to lock the door from the outside were not in any of the emails, texts, nor were they in the in-house binder. Also, for two days there was a small group of ants who showed up on the kitchen counter. I wouldn’t ding them for this, but I wanted others to be aware.

Comfortable and updated cottage

We loved this place and the view. The seating and beds were comfortable and the kitchen was set up well enough that you could actually cook in it! The reason we gave 4 stars for the neighborhood was that we expected it to be quieter, since it was on a side street. But I think the locals, especially noisy contractor trucks, use this street to cut through so traffic noise started early in the morning. The only other issue we had was that our small dog (17 pounds) could easily get through the deck rail, but he loved the yard itself. Would definitely recommend.

Great house on Bodega Bay

Perfect house to enjoy while visiting Bodega Bay. Enjoyed sitting on the deckwith the bay view. Also nice privet back deck. Close to shops and restaurants. Close enough for day trips to Point Reyes National Seashore and Napa.
