Spacious and clean. House is private with a great backyard. Proximity to Bethel (skiing) and Woodstock (skiing, lakes) was nice and it was easy to find. Kids loved the arcade games and we all enjoyed the fire pit. 4 stars because the house is missing some basic things, like bedroom storage. There are some hangers, but most of our clothes ended up stacked on the floor because there aren't dressers or shelves in any of the bedrooms except the upstairs master closet. For this price I didn't expect to keep my clothes on the floor. It didn't ruin our stay but I'd try a different place before staying here again.

Stunning home. Absolutely perfect location. The hot tub was a perfect way to relax in the evening. The communication was 100% spot on. Most comfortable beds we have ever slept in. Would book again in a heartbeat. Thank you Elvis and Tina for sharing this stunning home.

One word AMAZING!

I cannot say enough about the property and the host Elvis! It was all even better than the pictures online. Beautiful, peaceful, and plenty in the area to do, especially if you are into gems, minerals and mining and also antiquing at unique little places that pop up everywhere. Absolutely everyone we met was friendly. The must see is the Maine Mineral and Gem museum. I will leave it at that. Do not miss out taking the ride to the Loons Nest for funky, chill atmosphere on the water for amazing food (LOVED THE FRIED CLAMS!!) and no better place than Daddy O's for breakfast! No problems with internet, cell service, finding groceries or anything else. Can't wait to go back again! BTW..the beds were the most comfortable that I have ever slept in anywhere!

Elvis was attentive in his communication and went out of his way to ensure our stay was perfect. Over all, the house was in a nice location, quiet, very modern, and the fireplace was great. We also asked for recommendations to nearby boat/things to do and Elvis gave us great suggestions.The amenities were great, loved the ping pong station, although I wished the Switch had more games available (most games needed game cards inserted and we didn't know). Love the sunshine. It wasn't too hot thankfully, they have A/C but at night it could get a little cold so Elvis helped turn on the heat for us. Thanks Elvis.

Family vacation

We had a wonderful stay for our family ski vacation week. The house is beautiful and very comfortable. The kids loved the basement with all the games! Would definitely book again.

Excellent Family Vacation Hub

Great place with plenty of separate spaces for family to spend time without feeling like you are on top of each other. Family with teens headed to Sunday River for double diamond slopes, family with little kids enjoyed mellow Mt. Abram. Hot tub is a bonus for the grownups and a ping pong competition brought the whole family together. Very response hosts.

Already planning on next year

If I could give this property more than five stars, I totally would. From days before our stay, upon arrival, during and upon our departure, the owners were more than attentive and quick to respond. The cabin is truly an oasis and we already plan to book next summer. 2 of my 3 kids had their own king bed while my youngest was in the basement complete with an arcade game, gaming systems and ping pong. This is a huge space with a great flow. Everything you need is provided, and the owners took great care to make it feel like your own by avoiding personal touches. The location couldn’t be better. Minutes from all the shops, restaurants and stores in Bethel, but totally quiet and peaceful while you’re here. It’s hard to leave the cabin and a reward after a day full of activity to soak in the hot tub and hang with the family while laying memories. We are really looking forward to coming back. Thank you!!!

Wonderful stay in Bethel!

This was such a lovely house- we miss it already! The owners have put a lot of thought and effort into making everything as seamless and comfortable as possible. It's well equipped with pretty much everything you could need during a stay. My favorite part of the house was the screened front porch, it was a lovely place to sit and read a book while enjoying the forest views without being bothered by bugs. My kids' favorite part was the arcade machine on the lower level- they were obsessed! We'd love to stay here again the next time we visit family.

Beautiful house and great location!

We loved staying here for a weekend of skiing. Everything was clean and comfy. The pics are accurate. It really is that beautiful! The kids thought the downstairs pair of bunk beds, arcade and video games, and ping pong table were paradise. All the little things were thought of, including ski holders in the locked shed. Great spot!

What a weekend!!!

The house is beautiful and perfect! There was 4 adults and 5 kids with plenty of room! The downstairs if perfect for the kids to have their space!! A easy 15 minute ride to Sunday river to enjoy a perfect day on the slopes! Can’t wait to come back!

Getaway to the Mountains

The home was perfect for our stay. We had brought our atvs and rzr's to travel to Jericho NH which was about 45 minutes away. The area of the home was quiet, great location near town if you need to dip off to a store or pick up some restaurant food. The home was clean, the kids loved the bunk bed area! (mostly because the older littles could hang on the top bunks and watch tv!) the ping pong table was a hit and the hot tub was an added benefit after the long days riding, and was extra refreshing in that brisk northern air. The house had everything we needed for our fall family getaway and would definitely recommend for your next stay.

Beautiful Cabin

We loved it! Cedar Bear Chalet is a beautiful cabin and the owners have decorated it so nicely. We loved the deck and screened in porch. We really enjoyed the small town of Bethel. We highly recommend this wonderful home!

Perfect home and host

Great overall experience, which I attribute to the thoughtfulness of the host. From check-in to check-out, a seamless experience. Elvis (host) was incredibly thorough and available, without being intrusive; you simply knew that if you had a question, he was there to answer it. That said, it is nearly impossible to have a question, because the attention to detail in the property is astonishing. Everything was easy to find and/or operate, and the home and appliances are all new. Sometimes when you browse properties, you might wonder if reality will "live up" to the photos/descriptions, but I can assure you that Elvis delivers 100%. It is no wonder that so many of the reviews mention him personally. Great job!

A Jewel of a Chalet (Excellent)

This chalet near the mountains was amazing. The host did everything necessary to make us comfortable. Everything was clean and well kept. The kitchen was well stacked (We always look for a tea kettle, and we found one right away). There was a new awesome grilled installed on the patio, and we enjoyed it very much. Everything is nicely labeled. The bedroom and bathrooms were also well stacked. We could find clean towels and bed covers. The fireplace was also lovely. We cozied up next to it on the beautiful sofa and we enjoyed family movie nights. The host provided an awesome digital guide where you can find everything you need (including the Wi-Fi, how to check in, how to check-out, etc.). So well done. I didn’t have to ping Elvis once because everything was there. There was helpful information there too regarding local stores to use. Our children especially loved the changing/playroom downstairs. That was so awesome. I don't think they wanted to ever leave downstairs. There’s a ping pong table downstairs and an arcade. Trust me, you’ll get some nice peace of mind knowing that they are safe and comfortable in the playroom. There’s also a bathroom on each floor. I’ve never been to Bethel Maine before, but this house is a jewel and I’m looking forward to returning again. Thank you Elvis, you were awesome.

Beautiful Chalet

This new property is beautiful and set up to perfection. It is everything you need for a skii vacation or just for a relaxing time away. Things to do here for all ages. The chalet far exceeded our expectations. The town, good food and skiing are in very close proximity.
