Well located in Bergen

A really well located and comfortable stay in Bergen. A short walk to anything you'd want to see. Breakfast was excellent. Ours was a family trip and they offered interconnecting / family rooms which worked very well for us.

Good Value.

Good hotel and walking distances to Bryggen Port & Fløibanen. Our room rate included buffet breakfast, afternoon tea & dinner so good value for money. Good size room and bathroom with heritages charm. Notice board inside room with what the nightly dinner will be for the week. Guest sauna is nice and feels like a spa (need to give minimum 30 mins notice before use). There's a gym and swimming pool too. Beds are comfortable. Reception staff are friendly. Because we were doing the Norway in the Nutshell, the hotel stored our luggage the night before for a porter service to collect and deliver to oslo. We also request a packed breakfast for our early departure. Overall great service and thoughtful staff. Only negatives, is its a little far from the Central Train Station and Light rail stop. Approx 15-20mins walk.

Our room was spacious, well appointed, and clean. The bed was very comfortable. Our only problem was that the pillows were too large or too small. No medium size pillows. Breakfast was delicious with great options, also.

Beautiful property just one block off the water and the fish market. What really stood out was the amazing breakfast, they had basically everything one could want. On the second day I had a very early start in order to catch the train, breakfast was open at 6:30 which was perfect.

There appears to be multiple Clarion Hotels in Bergen. This review is for the property on Rosenkrantzgaten. The location is exceptional, right on the old town by the harbor, part of the Bryggen area. It is an easy walk to everywhere in town. The rooms are very small by US standards, but they are clean. The bathrooms have an unusual feature - one I have never seen anywhere else - that you don’t think you would ever need until you experience it: heated floors! That was very welcome after a long day walk. The hotel’s breakfast is also incredible, one of the best buffet breakfasts I have seen in Norway, however, they start at 8, too late if you have a whole day activity or an early flight. They do give a brown bag to go, but the contents is very limited. Now, on to the negatives: if your room is facing the street, and you are on second or third floor, there is much too noise coming from the street. The shampoo and soap are in refillable dispensers (good for the environment, but very difficult to use, and their house brand is not very good). The beds have only half sized comforters, way too small. The “queen” bed is in fact two twin beds., which separate very easily and does not function properly ad a queen bed.
