Crowne Plaza Kansas City Downtown by IHG
3/5 Okay
"Hotel is in decent condition. Lobby is nice, bar and restaurant are nice, and well maintained. Lobby bathrooms were a bit lacking. Didn't use the fitness center. Went to see the pool. Its rooftop on floor 7. Its small, but the rooftop area is decent. The hall carpet seems like it could stand for an upgrade. 2 sets of elevators. The set that goes to parking levels smell odd. Room was pretty standard. Bathroom was well lit but had no exhaust/ventilation fan. There was a significant amount of hair in the shower....so, it obviously wasn't cleaned well. The mirror in the bathroom, when fogged from taking a shower, showed some sort of previous writing/drawing "shadow" from something having been drawn on the mirror and then not cleaned well..... no bugs, though, and cean sheets. Bar and restaurant staff were wonderful. Female front desk staff at check in were not impressive. The young man at the front desk when I checked out was very pleasant."
