Beautiful setting ruined by nosy neighbors

The lake location is beautiful with a cozy deck to enjoy the sunrise. The cottage itself is a bit worn - it's clear that it's a rental owned by a management company rather than a person. An outdoor outlet is hanging by bare wires, the exterior is full of spiderwebs and bugs, the porch floor is sagging. It's smaller than expected for the listed capacity of 12, but our group did OK. The water quality in the area is a problem - we couldn't go in the water near the property due to the toxic algae blooms. That really detracted from the idea of "lakeside bliss".But the biggest disappointment was the intrusive neighbors, who made it feel like we were under constant surveillance. They *called the police* because 2 of our kids were passing a volleyball in the side yard - not being loud or obnoxious, just playing pepper. They called the landlord when our son tossed a rock to try to retrieve the volleyball from the lake, which as mentioned we couldn't enter due to the water. And they called the landlord again because our dogs were barking, well before the listed quiet hours. So much for specifically searching for a place that was "pet friendly" and paying an extra 200.Mind you, we did not complain about the neighbors' dogs barking at us, or their young children screaming outside early in the morning, or their constant campfire smoke coming into our windows.It's clear the neighbors are upset about this place being used as a rental, so be prepared for their resentment.

Our family vacation is in the books. And our stay at the lake house was perfect. The cottage was very clean, which I loved, and with an abundant supply of towels. The grandchildren had fun telling ghost stories around the fire pit, and my grandson caught 11 fish the last night we were there.

We have a wonderful, peaceful stay. Check-in process was easy. Any questions we had were immediately answered. The cottage is in a very nice, quiet neighborhood. We had everything we needed and it was very clean and comfortable. Looking forward to going back!

Terrific Lake Front Home

This is a fully updated home right on the lake down a traffic free dead-end road. Boasts one of the best lake views I've ever seen! This is a vintage home, so a bit cramped for the ten of us inside, and the lawn space outside is on the small side, but it is thoughtfully appointed and did I mention the fantastic lake view? Perfect for a quiet lake weekend for a large group of friends and family.

Great Location

Good location with great view. Adequately supplied. A bit rustic which is not presented in pics. No a/c in one of the bedrooms and only one TV. The dock was not in the best of condition and needed to be cleaned from sea gull waste. The outside garbage can was filthy. Top rack in the dishwasher was broken so the DW was not usable. Manager said that these would be addressed. All in all it was ok. Very quiet, pet friendly location.

The location was lovely. We enjoyed the lake, deck and yard. The house was smaller than we expected, but we did just fine in it. If the weather had been bad, it would have been cramped for our large group.

Family time

Lake house was everything advertised and more. Hosts provided all linens, all utensils, seating indoor and outside, wood for the fire pit. It was a perfect size for our group which ranged from 2 to 10 at different times.

Great location and beautiful property

Everything you need or want are on site or within a short drive away. Owners are extremely attentive during your stay, answering any questions or needs that may arise. Highly recommend this cottage and would have no seconds thoughts about renting again in the future.

Lakeside cottage

Not only were there more than two laundry pods, there was bleach, stain remover, dryer sheets, lint rollers, baby crib, stroller, even baby spoons. Ample linens and towels for everyone. Two families could easily have a wonderful cottage vacation here. We rented a pontoon for the week and explored the lake. The kayaks were also enjoyed and the end of the dock is a wonderful place to relax.

Comfort and a view

Had a great time. The view was amazing. Loved having a deck and a porch. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms had soap, shower gel and shampoo. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pans, glasses, cups and silverware. Could use some larger bowls but overall it was perfect. Nice to have a washer and dryer and the detergent and dryer sheets were supplied. There were kayaks and paddle boards available to use also. No complaints! Everyone that stayed or visited had a great time. Would definitely recommend staying here. Hope to come again. Joan

Excellent Rental!

This cottage is an Excellent rental! The reservation process was simple, the host Bernie kept me updated on the check in process and answered any questions within 30 minutes, and check in and check out was extremely simple. That being said, the cottage is absolutely adorable! Pleanty of room for our party of 7 with beds to spare. Love being so close to the lake and the private dock. We will definitely rent here again, and highly recommended this cottage.

Great place in the water. Has everything you can think of. They supplied laundry det, dryer sheets, shampoo, body wash, garbage bags, dishwasher det., coffee grounds and k cups- really saved us some packing. Has lots of games and gated patio to secure the little ones away from waters edge and Dock . It was a great week on the water😁
