Friends meet in the middle

My friend and I haven’t seen each other for almost 2 years and met in the middle from each of our states. We really enjoyed the beauty of Okoboji!

Totally Misleading

The property lists that it sleeps four and is 1000 sq feet. Hardly even close. Technically, it does sleep 4 but when the beds are folded out, there is barely any room left in the place. The space is barely 260 sq feet and I measured it! My friend who was gonna stay with my wife and I (we were in town for a wedding) ended up getting a hotel room. We did contact the manager and host and received a small refund but I was out 1/3 of the total cost and my friend was out more than $800 for his hotel. The bathroom and shower is ridiculously small. You can barely sit on the toilet because the sink is in the way. The shower is also stupid small and only suited for short skinny people. I hate to leave a bad review but the ad was so ridiculously misleading that I felt scammed. Should have just booked a hotel instead. You should too.

On and Faces the Highway

In fairness to the property owner the things they list about the property are true. It is very close to the activity in the Arnolds Park area. What wasn't explained or addresses is that the property is literally on Hwy 71 which stayed busy for about 20 consecutive hours. Though the room offered some quiet, we still heard traffic at all hours. We chose to only stay for one of our 3-night stay because of this issue. Additionally, the bathroom is VERY small. You have to rest your arm on the sink when sitting on the stool, and it is a tight squeeze to close the door while using the facilities. We were looking for a place with access to fun, and this place does offer that. But, the constant noise and the only view being of the Hwy just made it a bad experience for us overall.

Amazing little place

This was the perfectly located cottage, and comfortably fit our family of four. We had minor issues checking, but I missed the original email stating instructions because it was sent to my email under a different name, so I must have deleted it not knowing what it was. Otherwise, wonderful accommodations.

Small but worked well!

Great place for people that just need a place to lay their heads! This is a small place and when both beds are in use, it is full. We didn’t plan on spending our trip in the house anyway, so it was perfect for us. Location is convenient for walking or driving. Street traffic can be loud.
