Budget hotel in Yuba City

Property is old and a bit worn out. No elevator which is an issue with older folks and those with a physical limitation. No access from or to Hwy 99 which runs right by it. Must use side street to get to the property. Staff is friendly and nice. Good shower. Adequate parking. Good but small swimming pool. Small guest laundry - better than none. Breakfast is minimal. Close to shops and restaurants (by car). A/C worked fine and sufficient electrical outlets. Bigger size mini frig was good. WiFi was OK and secured.

Super loud, homeless just hanging around. Parking lot is very small so a standard pickup is even tricky to get parked. Lobby looks like maybe things were remodeled but stairs to rooms stink and had a literal pile of dog waste. Glad we weren’t hanging around the room and had other things to do so we just slept and took a shower. Bed was not very comfortable. I wouldn’t call 2 slices of bread and a couple containers of yogurt and 2 bagels breakfast but I guess it would be if you’re desperate. I realize you get what you pay for but this is technically a 1star not a 2.5 and certainly not a 5.0 like Expedia claims through their reviews.

Air conditioning was broken with literally knobs and buttons broken off, outlets sparked when we tried to plug charging devices in wall outlets inside the room. Staff was friendly, but mediocre helpful. There were loud tenents in the room(s) above us... I approached the staff member at the front dest 3x throughout the night to help, they insisted they called the noisy rooms but then I realized THERE WERE NO PHONES IN THE ROOM. We got no sleep, I felt unsafe, my kids were traumatized by the noise of screams and constant banging (It felt like the roof was going to collapse on us while laying in bed with the heavy man doing whatever he was doing above us). Breakfast was nice, and my young kids enjoyed the pool (although it wasn't very clean, and regular tenents with loud music, dogs, and heavy smoking occupied the pool area). I Do NOT recommend.

I like of the staff is very kind. Smoke detector was wrapped in plastic bag. I reported first night there and Second night. Nothing was done. Downstairs window is not secured. Room smell like smoke. Went to work come back my bed was tossed up. Claim pest control, why would they mess with my bed. I had to ask for room to be cleaned. Clean once. When i found i saw my room toss, i asked for another room. They moved me, but smoke again. I don't have high standard. This was a waste of company money. I will not be staying there again. And my key card i had to get coded everyday.

I stayed at the Sutter Inn and found a bed bug infestation in my room. I documented live bugs and bites, and immediately reported it to management. The experience was unacceptable — the room was clearly not properly maintained or inspected. I strongly advise others to avoid this property until they address this serious issue. Public health should take notice.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!! This place is absolutely disgusting! Trash in hallways and hallways and my room smelled like urine! Roaches in the room, people fighting with each other all day long. Forfeited my $$ and went somewhere else. If you are a decent hard working person DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!

Where to start … first off I truly don’t know how some people reviewed this place as a 10 out of 10 … we checked in and first off the person at the counter had the personality of a rock, she acted like she was doing us a favor by checking us in … ended up on the 3rd floor (no elevator) Ice machine was in the lobby only … the pictures on the site was NOT the room WE had … to start it looked like a hostel, lamps broken, no phone or decor no remote for TV , wires everywhere and AC looked like a 12 year old installed it … the room door had been pried open and never really locked … no hairdryer and just a bar of soap in the bathroom… So, all in all it was like a skid row room, don’t be fooled by the photos … the pool was dirty and grounds around it never cleaned (Cigarette butts everywhere) on the plus side the room was only $78 per night … the moral of the story … you get what you pay for …
