I booked this for my mother's 75th birthday (i.e., for my mom and dad). She wanted to go to Market Days and the location was perfect. She had nothing but great things to say about the property (e.g., great location, very clean, updated, etc); however, they checked in a little after 4pm went to take a shower about 6p and no hot water. Called the office and was told there is nothing they can do it is after hours. Maintenance showed up at 11a the next day to turn the hot water on. My 75 yr old mom took an ice cold shower on Friday night my dad sponge bathed out of bucket on Saturday morning. Happy birthday Mom. I called the management company today, I only found this out yesterday after probing about the stay from my parents and was told there is "nothing we can do". I highlighted that my parents had the rental for a total of 43 hours and did not have hot water for 19 of those hours (i.e., 44% of the rental time without hot water). I asked for a refund for one night and was told unequivocally NO. Only after i called VRBO and filed a complaint did the property manager/owner come back and say they would give me a free night stay from now to the end of the year if i came back. Why would i come back after such a bad experience? Plus i live 3+ hours away. Very disappointing customer service for such a nice property. Needless to say i will dispute the first night on my credit card. Renters beware.
