I had issues from the very start. I rented this house for family members visiting for Thanksgiving.
First, the code to check in (usually sent 3 days before arrival), was not received. The day of arrival, I'm frantically trying to reach the owner for check in code. The code finally received right before check in time started, unfortunately, it did not work. Tried to reach owner to no avail. Now, I'm forced to make last minute accommodations for guests days before Thanksgiving.
The next morning, still no response from owner. Finally reached out to VRBO and they were able to reach owner. I was informed she would reach out to property manager to see why code was not working. Needless to say, someone had put the bottom lock on the door. I was advised I would be refunded one nights rental.
Now to the property. The house itself was very nice and clean. However, there was spoiled milk in the refrigerator, and dried up pineapple sitting on the island, moldy dishes in dishwasher, and trash in the garage.
There was no clean linen (towels, sheets). They were found in the dryer. Guest washed the sheets and towels; unfortunately the towels (white) would not get clean. Since I live in the area, I was able to provide clean wash clothes and towels. The house did not have any wash clothes. Lastly, there was a lot of ant. Given all the initial drama, family enjoyed themselves.
