Great communication from rental company. Thankfully never needed but they texted often. The views from the house were amazing. Kitchen well stocked. Only cons were really need the options of curtains as trouble trying to watch TV and lots of road noise from highway below. So not quiet and peaceful to sit outside.

Absolutely amazing!

This cozy cabin in the mountains was the perfect home base for all of our adventurous excursions! Stunning views from all rooms. Extremely clean, beautiful landscaping, and the perfect deck for morning coffee and evening jacuzzi sunsets!

Great Weekend Getaway

After several busy weeks, including weekends, I decided to take my wife away for the weekend. Bear Necessities was only a couple of hours from home, but what an amazing place to get away. It was a beautiful little cabin at the top of the mountain, with absolutely amazing views. Great privacy, but your were still close enough to civilization to run out and grab takeout if you wanted. I would highly recommend staying here.

Beatiful view, relaxing house

We had nice weather during our stay, lots of cloudy skies which created beautifully dramatic views from the house. We enjoyed the hot tub and eating at the dining room table and using the fireplace. One thing of note is that there are no blinds or curtains on any of the windows. There is no issue with privacy but if you’re putting a child to bed before dark or wish to sleep past sunrise you might want to take note.

Cabin with Great Mountain View’s

This cabin had great views, solitude and everything you need. Kitchen was fully equipped. Decks on 1st and 2nd floor. Hot tub and plenty of room for 4 maybe 6 people. Fireplace and fire pit weee stocked with plenty of wood. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Catamount Football Weekend

We’ve stayed here before and love the view and only 30 minutes to WCU campus. The road up is a little steep but once there you have a beautiful view and privacy as it is at the end of the road. Hope to return again soon. 😍

Secluded getaway with gorgeous view

If you’re looking for a cabin with a gorgeous view, allowing for complete privacy and tranquility, then this is the cabin for you ! The road getting there is a bit tough, but once you’re there you will love it!

Labor Day Weekend Stay

We stayed at this cabin and had a great experience. The location is fantastic and you won’t find better views. Mountains views in every room, not to mention the jacuzzi tub and hot tub are a great bonus! The grill worked well and they supplied gas + fire wood if you want to hang out outside for the evening. I will note, the driveway is very steep and so is the route up the mountain. We don’t have 4WD and made it up with no issues, but it might be different in the winter time? Not sure! The property managers were great! We had a small issue with the hot tub and they promptly fixed it and were super easy to communicate with. I would recommend staying here to anybody! The house had everything we needed and it was very clean. Great experience!! We will be back!
