Stayed here many times, guy at the desk was in a horrible mood and taking it out on us. Got to our room it smelled moldy and wet, asked to change rooms and he said they had nothing available. Mind you there were only 2 cars in the parking lot all night and morning and middle of the week. They had to have rooms. Stuff happens, leave your personal problems at home

The manager’s name is Dave. He is not accommodating at all. He has an unfriendly attitude. He is very rude. The back doors didn’t open for re-entry. The jacuzzi was Luke cool, not warm. Not hot. The breakfast isn’t worth the free

Smells like a Gym Locker room. I feel the staff is actually doing a good job and the room was clean but you cant escape the smell, old sneakers, B. O., locker room etc.

The lobby & halls were very run down but the room appeared clean and updated. The only entrance that was available to use was the front which was extremely annoying and inconvenient since my room was on the other side of the hotel from the main entrance. I was unable to use the door only steps away from my room to the parking lot to exit or enter

Pros: Room was very clean. Plenty of free parking even on a weekend in the summer near the shore. Cons: Worst of all the manager was coming down hard on an employee IN FRONT OF GUESTS at the front desk. Unacceptable on EVERY level. The girl was the friendliest and most helpful person in my experience there. When I complimented her saying she was very nice and helpful he snapped at me saying “who her! Oh I know she is” sarcastically then walked away. I felt so bad for this girl. I don’t know the circumstances but one should NEVER discipline an employee in front of paying guests. As a result she didn’t show up back to work it was THAT bad. Was humiliated is a guess. He was nasty to me the rest of the stay. The 3 younger people at the front desk I communicated with during a 3 night stay were all nice and had a sense of friendly customer service although 2 actually seemed scared of the staff higher up than them. The older man was rude! Barked orders such as “give me ID” “give me your card” Towels were disgusting!!!!!!!!!! Small, rough, stained and worn so bad you could see through them, another couple checked out early after one night because they were so disgusting, pool was a joke, tiny and room smelled. Breakfast could use some work. Ends at 9:00. Got there at 8:30. They were already cleaning everything up and putting things away. Last 2 days got there early and all “hot” food was cold and sitting in a pool of grease. At checkout they refused to give me a receipt!

The staff was not very friendly and wait times to check in at the desk was insanely long.

This place has been remodeled recently, and is in pretty good shape. The room we had was comfortable and quiet. The morning maid service is friendly, and the breakfast was decent. It’s pretty central to the beach and Monmouth Univ. Although I heard others having issues at check in, we had no problem.

Sunday breakfast is stopped at 9, too early, we got there at 910 and couldn’t eat

Amazed there was no WiFi in the rooms - at all. When I booked I did see the words "Free WiFi" on the site, but failed to see the caveat - 'in public place" In the room s there is no WiFi at all, free or paid. That's not acceptable for the rate charged.

Check in took 20min when we were in a rush to go to a show. The outside of the building looks rundown but rooms are acceptable. Clean with comfortable beds. You get what you pay for.

I was impressed by the size, furniture, and lighting in the room. The bed was comfortable and there were lots of places to put things down. Big refrigerator, good microwave. We couldn't hear road noise or noise from adjoining rooms but we could and did hear noise from the hallway. We slept through breakfast so no comment on that. Front desk clerk was very nice. If I were improving on this room, I would ask that they provide more than one caffienated coffee pod and put a shelf in the walk-in shower.
