Nice and close to Dupont Circle and still walkable to most of the area. Dupont Circle subway stop is also close and will get you where you need to go as well.

Everyone is very friendly at this hotel. All the staff that passes during the day says hello. The room was very pretty. It is a nice renovation. I love the color scheme. The hotel is clean. The towels are plush and clean. The sheets were spotless. There is an in-room safe and coffee/tea maker. I arrived around noon and was able to check in. On my first night Guest Services called to check if everything was OK. I asked that the A/C be left off for my entire stay. They passed that on to housekeeping plus I left a note on the thermostat. When I checked in the room was freezing cold. I was concerned that the maid would crank it up every day thinking she was helping me. I was thrilled that the maid did not touch anything in the room. Lately I have been having issues with maid's touching my stuff and rearranging everything in the room.

Nice hotel, but the iron left black rust on my white shirt. Also, the drains were stopped up, the toilet ran, the clock batteries were dead, and the hotel encouraged immorality.

When i booked this reservation, i paid "room, taxes and fees" at the time of reservation. In the fine print, I later found that on arrival I had to pay an additional $21.10 "resort fee". This place is no resort. It amounted to a fee that was supposedly for use of the fitness room, wifi, etc. Nothing special. On checkout, i complained and did get them to remove it from my bill. I think Orbitz should make this fact much more prominent in your booking information.

All in all, very good stay. standard room is definitely standard -- fairly small, no bathtub, no view. Good mattress however.

they messed up our sleeping arrangements but they fixed it the day after other than that location great and beautiful views atleast it was in our room on the 8th floor

We went to the women's march and it was my firat visit to D.C. I have to say the staff was beyond amazing. The hotel was great, room was clean, bed was comfy, shower quiet. I couldn't have asked for a better stay! And to top it off they sent a thank you card signed by the staff and a box of truffles to thank us for our stay. Have to say it, embassy has a customer for life!

Whitney was an excellent hotel staffer made me feel wonderful during my stay, we even had a fire emergency during our stay and whitney handled the whole fire procedure perfectly and made me feel safe and welcomed thank you embassy row and whitney!! I will recommend to all my friends to stay at this hotel if they visit DC!!!!!!!

The recently renovated Embassy Row hotel offers nice accommodations in an excellent location. The hotel is clean and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. Internet connection is very good.

Every once in a while you find a great deal on a hotel you have wanted to try. This nicely remodeled older hotel is in the heart of DuPont Circle, just one block from the Metro. That makes is convenient to almost anything you want to do in DC. It has a tasteful mid-century modern feel, and very comfortable beds. To find it for under $100 is a real steal.

Loved the remodel - The hotel was beautiful and modern. I love the Decour. The staff was super friendly and very helpful when we were asking about places to go in DC. We were conveniently located to the metro and we walk to many of the attractions around DC.

I had a great time the roof top pool and great! Check in was quick and the staff was kind.

I arrive late at the hotel due to delays in flight. Left early in the morning. Good room for the four hours of sleep I had. Staff in the front desk was very helpful and friendly despite the late hour.

I'm a business traveler and stay in hotels about 60 nights per year. This hotel was very average with a few problems. On the plus side, it was clean and the staff was great. On the negative side, the rooms are quite small for the price. For example, there was no room for a chair and the closet was so tiny I had to take out the ironing board and prop it against the wall just to make enough room to hang a couple things. Speaking of the ironing board, the cover was all bunched up so it was pretty much impossible to iron a shirt on it. My other complaint is that the central air was extremely loud - I couldn't hear TV, make a phone call or sleep while the heat was on. So I had to shut it off for the night which made for a pretty cold morning. It was the kind of place that was ok just to sleep and leave, but I wouldn't want to spend more than a night there.

They charge $50 for valet parking. When calling for the car they do not answer. I had to go down to the garage to get the car myself. I was late for three meetings. When I pointed the problem to the front desk a lady responded. "You should call another number than to valet parking" ....The staff seemed very unapologetic.

Great little hotel sleek design, great menu in restaurant and super nice staff. Hated the stairs in the entry but it can't be helped.

Travelled for business and brought the hubby, so a pool and great location were critical. Pool opened on Memorial Day weekend and it was great. The location is perfect! Rooms are small, wifi was ok and service was minimalist. However, it was a great selection and both the hubby and myself were happy.

nice hotel but room issues

watch out for "resort fee"

When i booked this reservation, i paid "room, taxes and fees" at the time of reservation. In the fine print, I later found that on arrival I had to pay an additional $21.10 "resort fee". This place is no resort. It amounted to a fee that was supposedly for use of the fitness room, wifi, etc. Nothing special. On checkout, i complained and did get them to remove it from my bill. I think Orbitz should make this fact much more prominent in your booking information.

Thank you for your detailed review, Lolo. We will look into the door noise as we should be able to minimize that. Our hotel has different room sizes and most of our rooms actually do have bath tubs. Our room types are generally sold by rate and view. Our creative team thanks you for your business and looks forward to serving you again. best hotel stay to date

We went to the women's march and it was my firat visit to D.C. I have to say the staff was beyond amazing. The hotel was great, room was clean, bed was comfy, shower quiet.
