My family and I had the best stay at this cottage. It is in a wonderful location and has such amazing space. The back deck and front porch extends the living space even more. Our dog and grandchild so enjoyed walking down to the lake that was just down the street and the views of the mountains in the rear were just so inspiring. I just loved the primary bedroom (again nicely sized) and the kitchen and dining area permitted the whole family to gather around happily. It really was wonderful. So happy I came across this home. It was such a great stay.

Rainy, snowy mid-April stay was fun

We didn’t expect our spring stay to include snowfall, but we made the best of it. The home was immaculate. You can tell the Cleaning Lady does a great job. Thank you.

Great stay in charming home

Our group of 5 people enjoyed a wonderful stay at this house near New Paltz, NY. It was convenient to all of our day hikes in Mohonk and Minnewaska. The facilities were perfect for us, with a spacious, well-appointed kitchen and dining room, as well as a comfortable living room. One person used the loft, and apart from the steep ladder to reach it, it was a comfortable bed and had plenty of room. The house is extremely well lit, with windows and lights and high ceilings. We loved our stay there!

Perfect Mountain Getaway

This house was truly one of the most beautiful VRBO experiences we've ever had! The house itself was immaculate with every kitchen utensil you could need! The views of the back deck made this house even better! It was about 15 minutes to get to the closest grocery store or town so as long as you don't mind a little drive, this is the perfect mountain getaway for a peaceful weekend away!

Wonderful home base

We enjoyed our stay very much. House is very comfortable and well appointed. Plenty of space, great kitchen, and lovely wood burning stove. Views from deck spectacular! We got our own private viewing of a Bald Eagle.

Even better than the photos!

This place was beyond gorgeous! Had everything we needed/wanted. Felt like we were in our own state park with the amount of trees and beauty all around us, walking distance to nature paths but restaurants still delivered when we needed. It felt like off the beaten path but actually close to every destination we needed to reach. Loved every part of this home!

Great Place

Great Place to enjoy some R&R, and escape from everyday life. quite a countryside location, modern renovation inside, and comfortable surroundings. The place is impeccably maintained. Highly recommended.

Nice house for a family of 6

The house is clean with nice bedding, well stocked kitchen and beautiful views. The entire area is nice and quiet. There are lots of excellent hikes in Minnewaska SP within 20 min drive, kids enjoyed swimming in beautiful Minnewaska Lake, Awosting Lake and nearby public pool. All in all it was a perfect place to stay for a week.

Beautiful, quiet location near lake, fields and woods!

Easy to locate, lakeview property. Plenty of space for 4 adults, lovely long deck on the back with numerous bird songs to entertain! Property was clean and well maintained. Vents on high ceilings need to be cleaned but didn't bother me. Plenty of lights and outlets for devices to charge! Our only complaint was the tip envelope from the housekeeper requesting a specified tip in addition to the cleaning fee. Ah, no. Other than that, place was absolutely lovely and perfectly relaxing.

Clean, Spacious Home Away from Home in the Shawangunks!

We stayed for 3 nights with a family group of 7 (6 adults and one child) and had an amazing time! The location was a perfect landing point for our wedding ceremony in Minnewaska State Park and several trips into New Paltz. The house was IMMACULATE and had so many creature comforts that made it easy to cook, watch tv, play games and socialize. The beds were comfy and temperature was nice and warm for a chilly March. The yard was great for the kiddo and dog! All in all, a spacious, clean and well planned rental for a group :)

In the dark

Big storm hit day we got there and power was out for 24hr but once I got in touch with the management they were helpful and accommodating as best they could. Loved the house and location, it was well stocked and had everything we needed. When we come back to the area this will be my first choice if it’s avalible.

Nice quiet space for a family or 2-3 couples

House itself was great. Really well taken care of and well decorated, nice big deck and lawn. It is in a pretty remote area, ~20-30 mins from most things, but if you don't mind doing some driving, there are great vineyards and hiking around, plus New Paltz. I was expecting it to be a bit more of a lake house though, and I'd say that isn't really the case. There is a lake a few minute walk down the street from the house, which would be a nice place to SUP/ kayak if you have your own, but there isn't really an area to just hang out and swim etc. Again, was very happy with the house, but wish I had a bit of a better lay of the land re: the lake heading in.

Lovely Place To Stay

*STOP SHOPPING AND RESERVE NOW*. Figured I’d get that out of the way. The process and communication was easy and the property is a gem. Tons of space with nice, clean furnishings. The loft bedroom is really cool for kids and adults alike. Kitchen is set up to get down, but don’t bother cooking, go out and eat at the local spots. Homemade pasta at Lombardi’s is fantastic. We’ll be back!
