My family rented this house for the winter holidays. The location of the property is excellent. You won't need a car, which is a big advantage, especially in bad weather. The kitchen is well-equipped and has everything you need. The house is clean and cozy. The owner is friendly and provides detailed instruction about the house and surrounding area.

Owners easy to contact and respond quickly. Lots of bear decor gave the unit a very cabiny feel.TV operation was challenging, not intuitive. Did not contact owners for tech support as TV watching was not high priority. Boot warmer/dryer was nice extra feature.

My family enjoyed our stay at the Koolers' condo- super location with easy access to the village shuttle, views of the mountain from the living and bedrooms, and well-stocked with everything you might need. Great communication from the owners as well- thanks!!

Great location for shuttle to mountain

Condo is directly across the street from the free Northstar shuttle to the mountain so the location is perfect for skiers. The condo was very clean which we appreciated. One mattress was extremely firm and pullout sofa mattress needs to be replaced. The kitchen cabinets are packed full and need a good tossing out of unnecessary bowls, pots, pans. Lots of Knick knacks in the condo make it feel small and packed to the gills. Overall clean and convenient for skiing.

Great location

Lee was very easy to communicate with. The condo is cozy and had everything we needed. I loved that we didn’t need to climb a bunch of stairs to get to the condo. The parking was right there in front. Would definitely come back again.

Great location, easy shuttle access

The owner, Lee was very communicative, available at all times, and helpful. The location is great. The cabin was very cluttered, there are a lot of stuffed animals, and a lot of furniture, leaving little to no space to relax. There was a strict “everything must be put back in its place” rule or fine. Having kids and trying to make space to sit at the cabin—we definitely had to move some things around. The top floor was warm, had a fireplace and was cozy. Unfortunately the Nest thermostat (in the same room as the electric fireplace) reads the temp of the upstairs and kicks in based off that temperature. The downstairs was constantly around 60 and only tolerable if you were in bed under the covers. Lee was very kind, and put a lot of love into the cabin. It is not somewhere we would stay again.

North Lake Tahoe Gem

Lovely condo was perfect for our family of three! We loved the cleanliness, decor, location, and communication from Lee. We were able to enjoy the restaurants and tennis courts at Northstar. It was nice to cook breakfast in the well equipped kitchen and look out at the trees from the living room. Kings Beach/Tahoe City/Sand Harbor were great to visit and we hope to come back again!

Host was super responsive and proactive regarding the entire stay. Condo is about 200 feet from the shuttle pick up which is amazing. Great accomodations, would stay again!

Great Family Stay at Northstar

My family has stayed at this property multiple times. We love the cozy decor and the convenience of the shuttle service to Northstar. The condo is clean, comfortable, and the owners are easy to communicate with. Always a great stay!

Amazingly cozy stay!

Couldn't have been happier with our stay! We stayed there for a long weekend with our family of 4 (including two young kids). Communication and responsiveness was fantastic - including flexibility on when we arrived to avoid driving through snow - and clear written details and instructions for everything in the house. Condo itself was clean, cozy, and comfortable (our kids loved the bears!), with all the amenities we needed. Plus super convenient with a short bus ride to the Northstar village. Would highly recommend and plan to stay there again!

Peaceful weekend away

Lee is an amazing host. So easy to communicate with. Her home is like a home away from home. It has all of the amenities you could need for being up in Tahoe. Wonderful cabin and a wonderful host.

Northstar weekend

Short 4 night stay to do a race at Northstar. Property was easy in / out to get around the area. 1 mile walk to Northstar village on a path which for us was great, didn't need to use a car to get around immediate area. Kitchen was one of the best I've had in a rental. Gas stove and kitchen knives were actually sharp!

Cutest bear house ever!!

We decided to stay here while we were in town for my daughter’s softball tournament in Tahoe! Most of my team stayed at the Northstar village but I saw this place and fell in love with the theme!! Not only was it gorgeous and clean but the theme really made us feel like we were in a cabin in the woods! All the details to this home are insane!! My 5 year old son had a blast!! Although we were there for softball it felt like a mini vacation! Host checked in several times to make sure we didn’t have any issues getting in. Great communication and the stay book was detailed and very helpful. It’s also super close to the village where you can roller skate, get frozen yogurt and eat at yummy restaurants. We are definitely planning on going back!!! Thanks Jim and Lee!

Making a great memory!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The property owners were very accessible and helpful. Perfect location for the ski slopes. Our granddaughter enjoyed the condo and couldn’t wait to get up and play with the stuffed animals. Thanks Lee for helping to make her first ski experience a success!
