Very nice older hotel
Overall, we enjoyed our stay in this beautiful historic hotel. The beds were a bit too firm for our liking and parking was an issue. The lot that is next to the hotel is so small unless you are driving a smart car you will have a hard time parking.

This property was beautiful and clean and i didn't want to leave. The staff was amazing from the time we walked in till we left. I will come back to Tampa just to stay here nothing else. I dont do reviews but this was worth it. A little pricey for the area its in but when your in there your no longer in Kansas lol.
This is an formerly grand hotel that has gone through some difficult days. While you can see touches of its former glory, the current management needs an infusion of cash to get the property up to snuff. The ornate and elegant lobby is a great introduction to the hotel and the rooms bear some vestiges of its former glory. The location is very good and I can see what the potential for the property might be in the long term. Yet it suffers in many aspects. The bedding situation alone is challenging, I had a thin microfiber "comforter" along with a bedsheet for sleeping. The rooms are moist with humidity. The breakfast was very disappointing as they were out of many items (who runs out of butter?) and it caused challenges. The management is very kind and I appreciate their work. This hotel needs a couple million in capital to really get to where it could compete on a regular basis. I wish them the best.
The historic feel makes it comfortable. The breakfast could be improved.
There was a lady who worked there with an accent (Caucasian) who was extremely rude. The other employees were extremely nice including maintenance when our key didn’t work he helped but the rude lady didn’t care that we had a flight or had to come down several times to ask her to get us a new key or maintenance. The breakfast was very crowded and rushed and not very many food choices and wish they had a turkey based meat or more vegetarian options. The hotel was pretty and clean the outside wasn’t beautiful had some homeless people nearby but wasn’t terrible either. Wish we didn’t have to pay for parking especially when the first parking lot closest was always full and has a spot where cars can easily get hit and the second parking lot would be far back and full as we’ll definitely shouldn’t have cost $48 to park there. Especially when we only parked a total of 20 hours yet they made us pay to park for day and night access equaling up to 72 hours( we clearly weren’t there as we went to Clearwater and Disney world) won’t be staying there again.
unique vintage hotel.
This is a beautiful historic hotel in downtown Tampa. The Straz theater is within walking distance. The staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a nice surprise and includes eggs and waffles.
Liked the old world ambieance. Reminded me of a hotel we stayed in outside of Rome, Italy
Its nasty
No small fridge or microwave.
