Embassy Suites by Hilton Tampa Airport Westshore

3.5 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

We stayed here for a night before flying out of TPA in the early morning. The room was nice, the pool was enjoyable (though hot tub was broken), and happy hour was great. It’s right across the street from a mall with numerous food options and less than 10 minutes drive from the airport. It worked great for our needs!

They charged me more than what my reservation stated.

Not too far from Bush Gardens which wAs good. What I didn’t like was how the balconies were not accessible due to being permanently locked/closed. U literally had to go down stairs to have a smoke. The whole purpose of me staying here was that there were balconies.

Only stayed 1 night but staff was friendly, room was spotless and extremely comfortable, breakfast and evening reception was a really great addition, along with the free shuttle service! Would definitely stay again!

Whenever I need to book a hotel room, I always look for an Embassay suites first. This one was very clean and everyone was friendly. Shout out to the bartenders John and Chelsea (they worked Saturday and Sunday night) for making awesome drinks! I love the complimentary happy hour, they still make a good cocktail even though it's free. The chocolate and raspberry cheesecake at the hotel restaurant was to die for, my boyfriend and I just about arm wrestled for the last bite. Also, the free breakfast was pretty good, and the hours are actually realistic for breakfast and people who like to sleep in. I wouldnt say it was Gordon Ramsay level of cooking, but it was free and filling with made to order omelettes! I usually end up paying a bit more for a King room at the Embassay suites, but the happy hour, free breakfast, and friendly staff soooo make it worth it! And plus we were 15 minutes from some good restaurants, the Lowry park zoo, and the airport if we had to fly somewhere. The only reason I wouldn't stay at this hotel again, is if they were completely booked....and I would still keep calling for a spot!!

If you were to look at my reviews, they're usually positive, and if there is criticism, it's blended with what is good at a hotel for an objective comparison. This one won't be that way. I genuinely like Embassy Suites and use them ... a lot. However, I'll go so far as to issue a challenge to the corporate Embassy. Go incognito to this one, and try and check in and spend time with the staff and in a room randomly assigned like a regular guest. I can assure ... you without hesitation ... this particular hotel would not measure up to the usual ES standards ... under any description. It started with Check-In and we were ... and I do mean literally ... accosted by the "bellman". (It was Friday evening at approx 6pm on January the 4th.) As I stop our vehicle and walk inside, my Wife and 3 children are confronted at the car and told they had to move it unless they "agreed to use the bellman". There were 8 people waiting in line to check-in with only two front desk people. (The line truly stretched from the front desk to the revolving door and then "winged" on each side of it.) (The large "automatic" revolving door never worked.) In addition to waiting for all of them, you'd also have to wait for the lone bellman to deliver their luggage first. I asked the young man at the front desk to authorize the bellman to release more trolleys so we could timely get our luggage. "No!" Filthy rooms and TVs didn't work. Asked for help and was laughed at. Honestly. Will never go back.

Great hotel close to the airport and the ports of tampa.

Working on upper level, noisy every day until 7:30 pm. Cleaned room daily. Professional staff.

Good stay, nice hotel. Great location. I would definitely stay here again.

We love the Embassy Suite brand and this Hotel when visiting Tampa.

Spacious room and friendly staff. I will stay again.

Nice size suite. There was a microwave, and a mini fridge, a coffee maker, and a sink in the kitchen...It’s not a full kitchen. No cutlery, plates, glasses or paper towels. There were paper cups for the coffee maker. There were only 2 towels, and 2 washcloths in the bathroom...even though the suite holds up to 6 people. There was something sticky all over the phone in the bedroom, and something sticky on one of the drawers...should have been cleaned better before we arrived. Other than that..it was comfortable.

The free breakfast was unbelievably good. I had an omelet prepared for me and it was delicious. The breakfast buffet was plentiful. Also enjoyed free drinks the night before.

This hotel was a LIFE SAVER! After checking into a hotel I booked weeks in advance the hotel was terrible. We then went to this hilton and it was AMAZING. Rooms were so clean and nice, the staff was friendly and helpful and the free cocktail hour was perfect! The lobby has a little store which is very helpful! This is DEFINITELY OUR NEW HOTEL GO TO!!!

Location of hotel was close to convention center was within 10 minute drive to downtown. Close to area beaches as well as Ybor city.

The staff was friendly over the phone and in person. Tasty breakfast provided every morning.
