The location is great.

This is a historic hotel. Rooms are not going to be uniform. No gym, breakfast, pool, blah blah blah. That said, it is central, affordable, clean, safe, and friendly. There’s a bar downstairs and innumerable dining options in walking distance. No parking, but very affordable garage diagonally across the block. I was in town for a race and PdL had an option to extend 11am checkout to 3pm for a $45 surcharge, which allowed me to shower, eat lunch, pack out post-race without haste. Mini fridge and coffee maker in room, no micro. Bathroom with tub/shower (no plug) and wall-mounted hair dryer. This is a central urban property, noise is to be expected. Bring your ear plugs, blackout masks as needed.

Nice old hotel within walking distance of museums and restaurants

Central and convenient Need TLC

The location is great. Charming ambiance.

No onsite parking. Overall very dingy. Elevator did not work, stair railing was broken. Mold in shower. Furnishings very old and dingy.

Turn of century property that looks like it was 'adequately' rehabbed in the 70's and now in disrepair again. TV was disconnected from satellite, light bulbs out in key room fixtures etc. Needs help.

We had a corner room in 5th floor, could not have been more pleased, will definitely come back!! For nit picky people who need “new” this isn’t your place. This is a one of a kind place, not a cookie cutter place like the big chains. I loved the charm and walkable to everything downtown. And check in was so easy, literally took a minute. Showed them my license and credit card I used and they gave me the key…. Parking is also easy across the street in parking garage.

With this hotel you get what you pay for. It is a great location half the price of hotel next door. Room is clean but old. Lobby elevator and halls are narrow and shady. Once in room it is mostly good. We had plenty of hot water. Little or no wifi. Asked for no room service multiple times due to covid and not wanting anyone in our room. They came in most days anyway.

The moment I walked into the room I was disappointed. The AC didn’t work very well was very humid the next morning. Also you could see outside through the cracks by the AC was not sealed correctly. The hot water there was none it was lukewarm when taking a shower. The mattresses were terrible. I was getting motion sickness from my spouse is movement. The upkeep is very poor. The Design scheme is hideous it’s like they went to a thrift store and just picked up a bunch of furniture and put it in the room. And there were like 10 different colors of paint in the room. I was very disappointed. I will never stay there again.

Location was wonderful, close to The Pier, Central Ave, and so many pubs & restaurants. Property is very dated. Small rooms, just a sink, no bathroom counter, no safety rail in the tiled shower. The bar they show on website only seats 7 inside, there are some tables & chairs outside. The complimentary breakfast they speak of was canceled because of COVID, but not reflected in the overpriced room rate. Will stay at the Hyatt or Hilton next time that are only a block or 2 away.

You can’t beat the location. It’s an older boutique hotel. It was very clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

The hotel was ok. The rooms were clean. Never got the WiFi to work, and the bathroom was super small and the show was not working properly. A little outdated.

Didn’t like nothing really bad advertisement very bad
