Very centrally located old hotel. Room had everything we needed and was clean and comfortable, but bathroom was tiny and needed a renovation- still had blue tub and sink and toilet paper roll holder was under the sink! Parking garage they use could not take the height of our vehicle so that presented an immediate problem. Elevator was very old and slow. A few times the woman on the desk staff, who appeared to be training another person, made me wait and completed her task before talking to me. She was pleasant enough, but I had a weird experience with her when I tried to check out. She said my husband had already done so earlier, to "let me sleep." My husband, in fact, had just come down the elevator with me and had walked past her, with me, and the luggage cart, leaving the cart with me and going to get vehicle. When I said no, he did not check out, she insisted he had and pointed to a stranger outside, who was not even the same race as my husband! She really should have been paying more attention to what was happening in their tiny lobby.

Amazing stay. We went for a concert and it’s literally 2 mins away from the hotel. The hotel is pretty simple if you’re just passing through. Staff was nice and it was quiet.

The electric outlets stopped working halfway through our stay. But when we asked to be moved into a different room, they promptly made the switch and provided excellent service and the transition was fine.

This property has NO convenient parking. I got little to no help finding parking when I called. It was a good shlep to the closest parking garage with all my luggage. If you are looking to stay in the middle of things it's a good choice. I wasn't a fan of the weird garage sale quality furniture in my room or the lack of any rug or soft covering on the floor. Would be fine for the young and young at heart. Not my cup of tea.

Could not get internet to connect. We found out that it depends on what floor you’re on to which WiFi you sign into. We returned to hotel about 9:30 couldn’t get any signal on tv from desk clerk helped me over the phone and she decided to try new batteries. I went down and got the new batteries still did not work. After about an hour of back and forth phone calls she came up and did the best she could to get it working. She then said she would got get a part from the office but she was busy not her fault but now is 11:00 and I called and said thank you but we’re going to bed.

Expedia has your back!
We had a rough start. I reserved my standard room 6 months ago for an event in St. Pete. The room given me was sub standard in several respects but mostly double bed on platform on floor.. When I objected I was told the hotel was sold out and if I wanted a refund I'd have to go thru Expedia. I did that and Expedia came thru. I was given a Queen room as reserved and even with very spotty WiFi we were happy.

You cannot beat the location. You are right in city center St. Pete. It made the condition of the room, (not cleanliness, it felt clean) so much as the build/age. Very small bathroom and a smell of mold. This hotel could charge a lot more per night if they put some money in upgrading the place.

The reviews weren’t wrong …room was tiny, could hear everything through the walls, WiFi kept constantly freezing..the list goes on and on. Just remember the quality here is similar to that of a LOW grade motel.
