St Agustine Oceanview Gallery

Good layout and roomy. Large balcony, great view. Nice landscaping. Needs a softer bed, better lounger. Need dvd player and ironing board cover. Pool closes too early. Checkout at 10am is way too early

Great location

We had a wonderful month here - the condo is comfortable with everything you need. The view is beautiful! Ocean Gallery is a well maintained gated community- very safe and quiet with lots of activities and friendly people. And the beach is our favorite place! We'll be back again next year!!

Ocean View

The view was amazing. My concerns about the carpet were legitimate as the carpet smelled a little of pets and was old. A lot of the place needs a face lift. There was rust in the bathroom shower drain and rods. Toilet seats are chipped. The pillows are disgusting and yellow when we stripped the sheets down. We also had some cockroaches join us for our trip as there were a couple we found. The patio doors we had to ask for cleaner to clean them ourselves as they were very dirty.

Great building, not-so-great unit

We’ve stayed at Ocean Gallery several times over the years. The public areas are all well maintained, including pool and beach access. As mentioned in prior reviews, this unit is overdue for rehab. The good: 3rd fl ocean view, master bed is Tempur-pedic and comfortable, master bath has dual sinks, we were given the opportunity for early check-in which helped a lot, property mgmt mostly responsive with raised issues. The bad: bath shower curtains with noticeable mildew, kitchen cabinet door hinge came loose (poor prior repair evident), vertical blind panels falling off, old brown shag carpet stretched out, worn LR and patio furniture, washer stopped working mid-cycle (although mgmt responded to text and repairman came and fixed same day), 2nd bedroom mattresses are worn out and need to be replaced now, some receptacles not working, cockroaches found in a.m. 3 times, wi-fi went out for > 24 hours toward end of stay (no response from text to mgmt). Overall, this unit worked for us but it did not feel like a home-away-from-home given its condition. You get what you pay for.

Great location……cockroaches and this is a third floorcondo

We have been coming to St Augustine for 10 years…very first time we had cockroaches in our condo.. I sprayed and called .Vacasa came and used a portable sprayer. The condo is a great location and a beautiful view. The pools and area are very well kept.

A special spot for all ages!

This condo is perfect for a variety of reasons. I travel with mom, now 94 years old and my daughter. There is an elevator for mom and beautiful plants, fountain, etc in courtyard area she just loves. The condo has a perfect view and a variety of seating options. The balcony is covered. The beach is an easy walk and pool is nice. Kitchen has basics for making meals. This was our 2nd visit and we will definitely plan on returning in the future.

Wonderful Ocean View

Wonderful ocean view from third floor balcony. Plenty of space. The mattresses and carpet have seen better days, but this unit was a great vacation spot for my wife and me. We would buy a similar unit if available.

Butler Beach

The condo I rented had filthy dark brown carpet which was not shown in the listing. When I arrived, I washed the throw rug which was very dirty. The patio furniture was covered with dirt and mold so I cleaned them also. I will not be using VRBO again. I have been to this area before. It has a beautiful beach and swimming pool. The St Augustine area also has many good places to and lots of fun things to do. too bad the condo was so dissappointing.

Excellent spot to relax!

Three generations of women (ranging 30-94) visiting this beach home found it to have everything needed and more! The covered balcony was perfect for my elderly mom to enjoy her morning coffee while taking in the view. :)

The condo was great. Had it all.

The condo was great. People mentioned it being outdated but we thought it was fine. There is carpet and it looks a bit stretched out. But it was a clean looking place. Ocean view, pool, 2 rooms,close to downtown st augustine. Some of the outlets didn't work. So when having 2 babies and wanting to set up out baby monitors and sound machines and also being able to charge our phones was a task, but we so worked that out too. We would deff stay here again. Loved the property too.

Good Property

Ocean Gallery is a great property. It has many large pools, great ocean views, and a very good location. This condo is nice. The only minor issue is the porch sliding door is a little difficult to open. Other than that very minor issue, this is a great property.

Washer/dryer closet doors won’t close Minimal silverware Instructions for glass sliding door Correct key code - Lousy response from management. Worn LR carpet, with folds due to wear. Broken balcony chair Missing slots in blinds, mismatched, No rugs entry, bathroom,… Shower curtain is just a tried plastic liner Cable had been out twice, with no responses to requests for help from management Rusty washer, door hinges, etc. Beat up furniture Light switch in 2nd bedroom doesn't work

Nice stay but needs updating

We did enjoy our stay - great location and a nice view of the ocean. Two things would have made the unit feel a lot nicer. One, it badly needs new carpet (or tile). And two, the guest bedroom mattresses are in dire need of replacement.

Wonderful balcony and complex but the place itself leaves a lot to be desired. Very outdated and musty and not nearly as nice as the photos. I would recommend the owners replace the gross carpet and invest a bit in some basic modern upgrades and show some love. A table in the entryway would be nice. Some wall hooks or shelves would help. Kitchen was good but toilets and all the furniture were old, some of the outlets didn’t work, part of the bathroom vanity was cracked, screens were ripped, closet doors impossible to open. None of these is a dealbreaker but overall they detract from the experience and send the message the owner isn’t too concerned. In terms of experience this was through Orbitz to VRBO to Vacasa so things were more confusing than they should have been. There is no binder w info like almost every other rental I’ve had. I never got a simple email w basic info such as the unit number and location, gym location and code, code back from the beach, wifi, etc. I got multiple emails to provide car info (one from the name of the complex next door and from someone’s name I of course wouldn’t recognize - confusing). I did get a text w the lock code which was necessary but not enough in isolation. I had to keep asking around which was very frustrating. I raised this concern but still never got anything. Overall disappointing especially given the cost.

Decent Condo

The condo is in a fantastic location and Ocean Gallery is an excellent property. It has lots of large pools and other amenities. It is also very close to the beach. The check in process was slightly unorganized. There could have been better communication between the local property manager and Vacasa. We had some problems getting into the condo but finally got into the place with no further issues. The local property manager promptly contacted us directly and made sure that everything was to our satisfaction. We had a great stay at the property and would probably do it again.

Gorgeous view

The unit has an ideal location. The view is breath taking, the walk to the beach is just right. The unit itself could have used a good cleaning. I cleaned it myself, felt more relaxed then. I was able to use the washer/dryer to wash our clothes, and the towels provided by the unit. I plan to book again but will bring our own beach chairs the ones in the unit are falling apart.

Nice stay

The condo was comfortable and the complex was friendly and lovely. We had trouble getting in the place, which was pretty inconvenient. A few minor issues with condo, especially the kitchen sink needs to be fixed. All around a great property and we have a very nice stay.
