Great Weekend Stay

I stayed at this cabin with friends for a weekend away in the mountains and a trip to the slopes at China Peak. It was an amazing house that was very easy to get comfy in. It was exactly as we expected and a perfect location - both in the quiet neighborhood and in proximity to Shaver and China Peak.

Family Thanksgiving

Family came from Ohio, southern CA, and northern CA to celebrate Thanksgiving. The property was all we hoped for to celebrate as a family. If able to come together again we will rebook! Our entire family recommends this property for making memories:)

Gem In the Mountains

I've rented many VRBO properties over the years and this one is in the top 5 for our family. We had a group of 10 adults and 6 kids(ages 5-16) and this held us all comfortably. The owners have made excellent use of the available space. The property is on a cul de sac, and when we were there, it was quiet, peaceful and beautiful. The kids were thrilled to explore the surrounding forest while the adults were able to hang out on the amazing back deck. Entrance and exit were simple and the host was helpful, friendly and responsive. The whole family is already talking about renting this place again next summer.

Ultimate Shaver Family Gathering

We could write a thorough description of how this cabin facilitated our every need; but that statement by itself is sufficient. We had two cabins and used the Powell/Carter cabin as our gathering center for meals and for group singing as well as our Sunday Service. The extra large living room easily accommodated 30 people. Temps were a bit above normal, so the upstairs sleepers really appreciated the AC Brandon is top notch as a facilitator and communicates very promptly. Spacious cabin in the wood

Our group consisted of three families with young children. The place has all the necessary amenities and is conveniently located near Shaver Lake, nestled within a beautiful small forest. It has all the games and equipment you'll need for a perfect vacation.

Great Place to Stay Near China Peak

This house was great and was exactly as described on the website. Brandon was a great host and was very responsive to anything I needed during my stay. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for somewhere to stay whether they are headed to China Peak or staying in Shaver Lake.

Can’t Wait To Go Back!

This cabin has a great floor plan. A suite above the garage with a small living room (which is great for gaming for the kids or a quiet hideaway to watch a movie). This suite include two bedrooms that each include a queen and a twin bed and there’s full bathroom there. There’s space for additional two twin air mattresses in the upstairs loft area too. The kitchen is really well equipped. There is a great set of pots and pans, plenty of mixing bowls, and baking dishes, cookie sheets, an air fryer, several sets of tongs, a Keurig, coffee, machine, a drip coffee maker, a toaster, a mixer, a blender, and even a crockpot! The living room furniture is nice and comfortable! The outdoor deck furniture is outstanding! There’s a gas barbecue and charcoal grill, as well as an outdoor gas fire pit - Perfect for hanging out on the deck. Theres a beautiful, well-marked walking trail right out back of the cabin that takes you in a giant loop through beautiful granite ridge development through the woods. There’s an extra refrigerator in the garage, which is very helpful for large groups. The driveway is a little steep, so be aware if that’s icy. This cabin is a fantastic value for the space location.

Hey beautiful house nestled amongst the black oaks cedar trees, pine trees, and Manzanita. Easy access to hiking trails scenic views, Beautiful weather. A wonderful place to enjoy Christmas setting with my extended family.

15 of us stayed at this cabin. We were impressed with the cleanliness of the place, as well as being well supplied. Plenty of towels for us, extra tables and chairs, coffee pods and a whole area for coffee prep set up—even fire wood for fireplace. Adequate kitchen space, La RV he fridge (and a second one in the garage.

Beautiful home in the woods

This is a home, not a cabin. It is beautiful and comfortable, close to Shaver Lake and all the amenities. It is quiet, clean and much as it is listed. the upstairs does stay hot because there is no AC or ceiling fans there. that was the only concern for our group

Shaver Lake Getaway 2023

Stayed the weekend at Shaver Lake this was the only spot able to accommodate 4 families. Lots of activities for the kids Would do it again just not on a weekend Too many locals from down the hill on the weekends makes it difficult to enjoy the Lake. The house was perfect

The stay was great and enjoyed by all 11 of us. The House and location was what we hoped for. The manager was excellent and very communicative. The only negative was that the Air conditioning was not very effective for the upstairs in the main house and was not provided in the rooms above the garage.

Great Family Reunion

We hosted our children and grandchildren from 3 different states in this spacious and comfortable home. We chose this property because of its large backyard deck for our family gatherings, and even though it was damaged by the heavy winter snoes, the host really exerted himself to have it rebuilt and suitable for our use by the time we checked in. There were 2 minor issues that we wished we had known sooner. Perhaps the host could update the listing. First, we were not informed of the HOA prohibition on on-street parking until 72 hours before check in. Second, the rooms above the garage are completely without any A/C, and several of our days were very warm, making those rooms uncomfortable until well into the evening. A small mini-split would really enhance the comfortability on those very warm days. The kitchen was well appointed, and the availability of extra folding tables and chairs was an unexpected plus.

Birthday Celebration

From check l-in to check-out, and everything in between, our stay was glorious! We were celebrating my husband’s 70th bday with close friends and family. We couldn’t have had a better place.
