Bad neighborhood and terrible management. My Jacket was stolen from the lobby where I was waiting to check in. The lobby was empty and supposed to be secured from the outside with keycard access. I suspect an inside job. This conclusion is based on my instincts and judgement of how i was treated. And also the fact that Management didn’t speak with me on the matter and to my knowledge didn’t check the video tape either. The room had stained floors which was gross and the breakfast wasn’t good either. I’m being candid yet respectfully leaving this review.

My colleague had a pair of $200 sneakers removed from inside his locked hotel room and this hotel did absolutely nothing about it, and even tried to blame him. They wouldn't even follow up with him- *he* had to keep asking *them* to provide updates. They acted as though his requests they look into what happened to his shoes was a massive inconvenience from the start, and were utterly indifferent to the fact that someone who wasn't him had access to the room. No offers of restitution were made, and no attempt to look into it (*he* had to ask if they could check the key card record, or if they had security cameras, after *days* of them not looking into it). I'm not expecting them to become Sherlock Holmes, but when he came to them to report something of value was missing from his room they began with complete disinterest and by the end they were hostile to him and acted as though he was being unbearably difficult by expecting them to respond. I do want to note that the staff that works the breakfast station, as well as some front desk staff, were incredibly kind and helpful to him. But other front desk staff and the manger were just awful to my colleague, who was unfailingly polite and patient with them. You will see other reviews complaining about vagrancy outside the hotel. I will tell you that the *only* thing that made me feel unsafe staying here was the way someone was able to enter the room uninvited w/ management's utter indifference.

Beautiful property but because it’s downtown there’s a lot of homelessness outside the building. I would definitely stay again but be better prepared for the area. I did walk in the neighborhood during the day traveling westbound and it was nice and clean

First time visiting San Francisco and at first I questioned where we were staying after our Lyft driving asked if I had checked the area before booking. Overall the room was clean and the little view we had of the city was nice. I booked this location because I wanted to be some what close to market street and if needed we could grab a Lyft easily. Like all major cities it is going to have a rather large homeless population but they were never right up front near the hotel. To be honest they never bother my partner and I when we walked to and from the hotel. We found a couple cute little places to eat at and my partner fell head over heels for Mr. Charlie’s. I do enjoy the breakfast options as it can help lower your out of pocket expenses. The rooftop was nice and gave you a good view of the city. It was a little cloudy and breezy but the weather was still super nice compared to our normal home temps of 100 plus in the summer. The front desk staff was friendly but when we asked if there was a place to ship out packeges the gentleman sent us to a UPS assist store that only handles prepackage amazon returns so when had to lfyt from there to an actual UPS store. Overall it was a nice first visit to the city and I look forward to coming back to see more of what the city has to offer.
