Centrally located amazing price fairly good staff and above average breakfast.
Overall it was decent for the price. Rooms definitely need work. Felt like an 80’s horror film but hey in the holiday spirit of Halloween it was perfect. Mattress were terrible. I could feel the springs poking my ribs.

It was nice to have the pool and my kids were excited to play in the pool that first day we arrived. But when we tried to go to the pool on day 2, right after our kids jumped into the water, we were told to leave because the pool needed to be cleaned (this was at 10:15am, and the pool does not open until 9am). That was the last time our kids were able to be in the pool because when we tried to access the pool on day 3, there was a sign saying the pool wasn’t available until further notice. Still wasn’t available to use on day 4 (when we were checking out). Housekeeping never came by to clean the room, and I wasn’t informed when I checked in to request housekeeping to come by during our stay. Fortunately housekeeping did pick up our trash when we left it outside our door on day 3 of our visit.
Photos of the property are deceiving. Advertised as riverwalk property, its nowhere near there, its next to a busy highway. Maybe they get away with it by having pictures of the riverwalk over the beds. A smoke detector was dangling by its wires over one of the beds. It had a nice damp dingy funk smell upon entering. Ran the a/c for a while and went across the street to get a ghetto burger before i came back to the room to have an allergy attack. They also advertise a cafe on sight with local fare. Didnt see that. Im just glad my car was there in the a.m. Dont expect much its a motel 8.
I have stayed at this property in the past and I really liked it because it was close to local restaurants and the K1 raceway. The staff have always been really friendly and helpful. That’s why I was disappointed to wake up in my recent stay with a bed bug crawling on me. I had to pick up immediately and leave the room and check out 2 days early because I didn’t want to sleep in a room that had bed bugs. I did get a refund for my remaining days but still very disappointed about that.

The room needs maintenance. I thought the room would be in a better condition and cleaner because of COVID-19, but it wasn’t.
Didn’t like anything about this stay honestly, other than the location. We weren’t able to use the vending machine, which was unfortunate. Our room reeked of smoke when we first arrived even though it was a non-smoking room. The coffee maker did not work, the drain in the shower was broken and took forever to drain. The A/C took hours to cool the room after we had to turn it on when we got there. The beds were made up but they appeared dirty, along with everything else it did not look like it had been cleaned. The WiFi was crazy slow so don’t even waste your time with that. We will never stay here again or any other best western probably for that matter after this experience. Do not recommend. *especially if you have children staying with you, because of all the sketchy people walking around staring at you at all hours.
We had a room on the back of the hotel,as we asked.The riom smelked lije pee ,bed sheets had stains from pee and the mattrass too, when we complained to the front desk ge said he will see what he can do,then i complained again. Maid came and looked surprized, said that pee was dry. The maid and her helper were from India ,i guess there is ok to sleep on pee? Room after they left smelled also pee and sweet. This hotel was not cheep,service was bad.
The bed sheets and blankets were all dirty and old. We found cockroaches throughout our stay and the lighting was horrible in the room
It was a nice, clean place to stay and all the staff I interacted with were friendly and helpful
Probably a very small thing to many people, but I was extremely ticked off that Fox News Channel was blocked and only Fake News channels CNN, MSNBC, CBS,ABC and NBC could be viewed. Not a chance we'll stay here again. A staff member indicated it was no big deal as far as they were concerned.!.
