should have a better breakfast at that price
The location is great. Close to many stores and restaurants within a short driving distance. The daily breakfast was good. The pool was down for a span of a week for maintenance. This wasn't a big deal for me since that wasn't a part of my overnight trip plan. Unfortunately, my room needed refreshing starting with a paint job and plastering for the holes in the wall. The side chair had stains and the pull out sofa bed was not clean. The sofe bed had a piece of chip, crumbs, and other little particles that I had to inspect closely to ensure that it wasn't bed bugs. It was not. The bedside phone was cruddy. That definitely was not cleaned since who knows when. I was pretty surprised considering COVID-19 is still a thing. No speaker phone button, so it was gag worthy putting the phone to my ear. I had to call the front desk to request cleaning products to wipe off my own cot. The walls were visibly soiled, especially in the bathroom/bathroom door which is a huge turn off for obvious reasons. The shower floor was stained dirty. The toilet bowl had a ring. Not sure if that was due to a permanent stain or just lack of cleaning. Either way, that was also a turn off. Staff was courteous. Would I stay there again.... I guess if I was provided with a better/more tidy room, yes. If I read similar reviews at a later date, probably not. Definitely averages a 3 star hotel by rounding up the experience at best because of the pros.
It needs to be updated and renovated. The refrigerator in the room didn’t work so the manager said the room wasn’t used in months. If that was the case then there was plenty of time to update and clean the room. There was dirt and rocks in the floor - very dirty, dead bugs in the room around the heater unit, no trash can in the bathroom, the faucet literally was not the right size on the vanity and moved around in my hand, the repair job around the tub and vanity in the bathroom was awful as caulking was about three layers thick and not smooth, missing tiles on the floorboard and hair all over the bathroom tub upon arrival. Under normal conditions we would have left immediately but we’re in town for a cheer competition and was on a very tight schedule so finding another hotel wasn’t an option.
It would be nice if you could change who a room’s name is in if you paid for the rooms.

Personable Staff. Tom is great.
Beautiful building.
Nothing
Room was clean and spacious but bathroom had a very strange smell (thankfully we always travel with Lysol spray nowadays so that killed some of the smell). Toilet clogged on second day there (we were only two people and not throwing excessive tissue in there so idk why that happened). The young blonde woman at front desk was very friendly but the young guy with facial hair there during the daytime was sort of dismissive and rude. Due to Covid, no continental breakfast still, but at least some small variety of packaged foods. Coffee in lobby was excellent. Floors are a bit noisy, was awoken in morning many times by families above us
There were multiple fire code violations & when addressed w/ the staff nothing was done. Being a firefighter I like to know I’m safe in the event of a fire, however w/ outside doors propped open & inside fire rated doors propped open, there was no chance myself, other guests or workers would have been safe. Very disappointing.
The girl who checked me in was SUPER nice and helpful. She was honestly the one good thing about my stay. The “breakfast bag” was truly terrible and pathetic and when I asked the guy for one extra muffin since I had a 2.5 hour drive home he refused. I asked what about when “breakfast” is over and he said then he had to lock everything up and “couldn’t” give out anymore. The hot tub was not allowed to be used which is ridiculous because chlorine blocks covid and isn’t prevalent in the water. Very disappointing stay
Very clean and comfortable. Staff was respectful and polite.
The hotel itself is overall decent to spend a couple nights at but what I didn’t like was their inability to be flexible. I had originally asked for a room with two beds and a pull out. When I got there I was informed that was not the room I had booked. I asked if a change could be made and unfortunately I was told no unless I cancelled the existing reservation and make a new one, essentially being double charged. Then, I asked for a courtesy late checkout of 1 hour and I was told they couldn’t do that either! I was traveling with two young kids and waiting for a ride. I unfortunately had to check out at 11am and wait in the lobby for my ride which came exactly at noon. The entire hotel was empty so there should not have been a problem with granting the extra hour. I’ve never been to a hotel that was non flexible and not even willing to listen.
