Rooms are incredibly dated and haven't been redone in years. Bathrooms have peeling wall coverings and sink stands look to be "ancient" and should have been replace years ago. TV's appear to be old box style and although they have cable, the reception is poor. Hall carpet on endd flr outside of elevators is badly stained as is the "couch" near the elevator. Hotel rates are lower than some in the area and are still over-priced for what you get.

The Rockville Centre Inn has been taken over by new owners. It has been renovated and is a very pleasant looking place. It is closer to Oceanside and Baldwin than it is to RVC's downtown. There is a walking path right across the street. Although it is on the main road, Sunrise Hwy, it is quiet. It is a bit of a walk to local restaurants but a very short drive. It is a short drive or cab ride to the LIRR in either RVC or Baldwin. In addition, it is about a 1/2 hour train ride to Manhattan. Stay close to NYC but enjoy the relative quiet of a bucolic suburban area.

Very clean and quiet love it recommend this lovely palace for love quiet stay and will alway come back here every time I need some quiet time with my love!! The staff is great!!! Lovely location too!!!

I can't say enough good things about this hotel. I stay here a lot because of my job. The customer service is amazing. From the van driver to the front desk staff, everyone you encounter is willing to accommodate your needs and are always so friendly.

Good comfortable bed, but the room furniture looks pretty tired and they need some updates. The heat/ac works excellent. The room seemed clean and neat. The breakfast isn't good except for th he bagels

I’m really not sure if the positive reviews about this hotel are real! Upon arrival, I noticed the dingy, dark, dirty appearance of the furnishings in the hotel. No updates or cleaning of the carpet had been done for a very long time. After riding the elevator to the third floor, we were hit with a very strong smell of cigarettes in the hallways. We returned to the front desk and asked if this was a smoking hotel. The man at the desk told us that it was a non-smoking hotel, but that people know that they will be charged for smoking in their rooms, so they smoke in the hallways. The security camera monitor with 10-12 views was straight in front of us including camera views of the hallways. When I asked if he could see people smoking in the hallways, he said, “I don’t have time to look at all of those things happening on the monitors!” We were given another room on the second floor which was clear of smoke, but in great need of paint and a carpet cleaning. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Seriously disappointed that we spent the money and time here.

We stayed there as it was convenient, not knowing what to expect. Free of charge, they provide van shuttle service to and from the airport. They also provide on the hour sign up sheets in the office for rides to local restaurants and the railroad. This is such a huge help to people without cars! Do generosity tip these people!!! The breakfasts were wonderful! Egg omelets, bacon, sausage, biscuits, bagels, cereals, oatmeal packets, juices, yogurt, fruit, bread, pastry, and coffee with choice of skim, 2% or half and half were offered. I didn't see decaf, but maybe there might have been packets of it. The other coffee was fresh brewed. The rooms were equiped with fridge, microwave, coffee machine, large tv, hairdryer and toiletries. The rooms were clean. Some rooms had outside entries as ours did. Others were inside entry. There was an elevator to upper rooms and lower level. Breakfast was on the lower level with comfortable seating and a large tv in the room. The rooms were not fancy, but well equipped. The staff were gracious and accommodating. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back there. Even though they wouldn't be considered fancy, they certainly are fine!!!

The best thing about the Rockville Center Inn is the 24-hour free shuttle service between JFK and the hotel. It's about a 20 minute trip, and it is super convenient. Coming in at a very close second is the very helpful and friendly staff. Third place goes to the very comfortable bed. I know people's mattress preferences vary greatly, but for me, the bed was just right, and I slept like a rock. This place has tons of amenities: laundry room, pool, conference rooms, and a full breakfast (included in the room rate). The breakfast was excellent. On the downside, the overall appearance of this hotel is quite dreary. Drab gold and rose-toned carpet, beige and gold walls, all looking as though carpet and wall coverings were installed 40+ years ago. The carpet is heavily stained in many places. A funny side note, on the 4th floor, patterened carpet was installed crooked, so the floral design veered off to the left. Another funny note, the breakfast area had two TVs going. At one end of the room, the channel was set on CNN. The other end of the room had FOX and Friends. Room temperature is adjustable, and each room has a small flat screen TV. There is plenty of drawer space, but limited closet area with 4 hangers. The bathroom was clean but also drab and outdated. So, if you don't care too much about appearance, this place is convenient and includes a lot of extras. Don't bring someone here if your goal is to impress. However, this dreariness in appearance does not seem to be a deterrent to flight crews, as 4 Delta airline pilots and I took the hotel shuttle back to JFK. If similar circumstances presented themselves (short overnight stay), I would probably stay there again. The photos on the Rockville Centre Inn website are pretty accurate. The room with the comfortable orange chairs is the part of the conference room used for the breakfast area.

Loved staying here. Everything was great, staff was friendly and always very accommodating, room was clean, and hotel is close to lots of eateries. An awesome Italian restaurant, IL Luogo, is about four blocks west with great food, service and ambiance.

Nice price for this quaint inn. Nice location. Nice big renovated room. Nice breakfast buffet which serves until 10:30am so you can sleep in a bit. This will now be our place of choice when we visit the family.
