Stayed for one night. Front desk staff were nice and welcoming. Common areas were clean and inviting. Room was clean. Beds were hard, which I don't like, but it was tolerable. Linens were fine. Shower was nice and hot. Free breakfast had eggs, waffles, breads, eggs, bacon, Canadian bacon, fruit, yogurt, oatmeal, cereals. Good selection. Gentleman working the breakfast area was very nice. Would stay here again.
Hubby and I decided to do a one night getaway for his birthday. He didn't want to travel too far so we selected Fairfield Inn and Suites. Check-in was relatively easy, although when we got to the room, there was a problem with one of the doors so we requested a room change. We were moved from the 2nd to the 6th floor, which was so much better for us. It had a decent view when we used our imagination. Breakfast the next morning was good and I also appreciated the diversity of the travelers as well as the hotel staff. I have two complaints. One: the air conditioner never could seem to get cold enough for me. The thermostat was turned all the way down to 67 degrees but it was still warm. Two: the shower didn't work the way we expected. We spent 15-20 minutes waiting for hot water, only to discover the handle had to be turned in the opposite direction (away from hot to cold). My husband, meanwhile, didn't like the sleeping pillows although I thought they were just fine. Checkout was easy. Not sure I will stay here again but I did enjoy the experience.
Nice, clean hotel. Excellent breakfast. Very strong smell of chlorine in lobby. We stayed for 2 nights and our keys did not work either day. We took them back to the front desk and were re-keyed 3 different times. We have stayed at this hotel a number of times and this is the first time we have had a problem.
we have stayed at this facility many times and e were always pleased until our most recent visit. Due to a problem with keys, we were unable to get into our room and had to wait three times (once after 10pm) 5-10 minutes to have a front desk person let us in . Although we were staying Saturday and Sunday nights because of the key issue, we had no access to a room all day Saturday. We were finally given a room late Saturday. We left multiple messages for the manager Laurie Seymore but she never returned our calls. We were charged the full price despite the limited access to a room.
Hotel staff was friendly, room was clean and ready when I arrived, enjoyable outside patio. Exercise room had clean machines. Location was good and easy to get to highway. Breakfast was standard for a hotel with breakfast included
Checked in Friday evening after a 12 hour drive. I was told they had only 1 room available, after I requested a room near the elevator, (my husband uses a cane). I agreed because we were extremely tired. We got to the room a fit was a handicap room. I did not request one. Again, too tired to argue. I unpacked and we went out for dinner. When we got back to the room we tried to get some sleep and my husband and I thought the band was playing really loud, but, stayed awake until about midnight u til the music stopped. Slept in on Saturday but wanted to take a shower and relaX. In the shower I heard what I thought was a band start again. The shower was actually vibrating. I called the desk and was told they were going to lunch and were leaving. The noise went on until 7 PM. My husband went to the conference room. There were 10 gospel singers, an organ, drums and a guitar, each with its own mic. Mallory volunteered to change my room but that was about 18 hours after check in. She was very nice, but,it was too little too late. I would never stay there again if they could rent out a conference room directly below room 210 with o regard to a paying customer. I am too upset to sY more.
If you're passing through and need a bed, this is a good place to spend the night. The service is friendly (I hope the lady behind the reception gets to write her book) and above all, the rooms are large and clean with good beds. Breakfast is included and quick if you want to get on the road again. Parking is easy and free.
This hotel is the Best Fairfield in which I have ever stayed. Bed was very comfortable, the shower was hot, the room was spacious. There is a fridge and microwave in the room. Indoor pool was perfect for a quick swim. They have a large breakfast area where you can relax/work anytime day or night. Breakfast, I had the cheese omelette, was much better than some other high-end hotels. The wifi was strong throughout the hotel. The hotel has an indoor atrium from the ground floor to the top floor. There is a small, but more than adequate bar that is open in the evenings. Coffee, tea and hot chocolate was available 24 hours. The staff was very friendly - like we were a guest in their own house. Restaurants are across the street. It was perfect!!!!
I travel to RDU once a month and this is my favorite place to stay. The rates are reasonable, it's close to shopping and restaurants, and it's close to a gym I visit (and 1 exit away from my corporate office!) They have a good breakfast (free) with the Greek yogurt I love. The staff are friendly and is a safe neighborhood. Close to highway and gas station also right next door to fuel up before taking the rent car back to the airport!
There is only one thing you need to know about this hotel...Drew the bartender is the absolute best. Room was great and nice sitting area outside with a fire. I had a great time and will be back for my next visit to GE.
