Simple requests for items such as blankets (beds have only sheets) and face towels met with consternation by front desk and items never delivered. This hotel has an excellent location and building is overall in very good condition. There is much potential for this place to be fabulous, but with rude front desk staff and an atmosphere of seemingly pinching every penny it will not happen. A lot could be done with very little to improve this very quaint hotel. (Lady who serves the continental breakfast was very sweet.)

We had walked by this hotel many times over the years. We will stay there again. Very positive experience.

Some rooms had new beds, ours of course did not, it was like sleeping on a box spring. Ours did have a new flat screen tv, every shower we took flooded that floor, because the shower curtain rod was 2 far from shower head and could not be moved. but close to the action.

Have stayed here several times. Very basic but clean hotel in a perfect location. The staff is incredibly nice, especially Dora at the front desk. Great breakfast every morning with fresh fruit and bakery goods but still have to have the Divorced Eggs at Cafe Serrano at the end of the block. Only con; most rooms do not have in-room safes but they have safety deposit boxes at the front desk with 24/7 access. Bring a wash cloth and beach towel.

We upgraded to a suite and it was very roomy. It had a nice balcony which had a great view of the ocean, the mountains and the plaza. We would definetly stay there again. The air was good the shower had good pressure and the bed was firm which was the way we like it. We have to compliment the maid who kept the room spotless. The penthouse has a fabulous view and is a great place to read and enjoy.

I've been to this area of town 5 times in the past 2 years so I know what I getting for the price. Our room was a black hole with no balcony, tv, or AC so I asked to move to a new room and they said I would have to buy a whole new room and forfeit the money I spent booking this one. Note that we just got there and didn't use the room at all. The pool was also out of commission do to construction that started at 7 am. Just a bad experience all around. Pay a little more and get a lot in return somewhere else.

Great location rooms are very Small but clean with great Views

Great location in the heart of downtown PV. Not a luxury hotel, for sure, but in this price range it is one of the best at what it does: provide a great place to sleep and shower, and walking distance to great local restaurants. The plumbing was the best I have encountered in non-chain hotels in Mexico; the sitting char was the worst. Air Conditioner = A+ Over the bed, it could be aimed (by remote) to blow away No cold air draft while sleeping Hot Water = A Water Pressure = A+ Hot Water 24/7 = Yes Toilet Flush = A Refrigerator/Microwave = No/No TV = C Old tube type with stereo speakers 5 English channels, CNN, Fox, New York 7 ABC Bed Comfort = A Desk = No 3-Prong Outlets = No Sitting Chair = D- Old wood chair with leather inlays. Uncomfortable Cleanliness = A- Housekeeping Readiness = A They will clean your room within an hour of leaving Nearby Restaurants = A+ All kinds, all prices, all great

Loved the view from the pool upstairs. The pool in the lobby works perfectly if u don't want to get sunburn. Overall experience was amazing

Hotel is nice for its price if youryour looking for fancy new things, your in the wrong place. The view in the terrace is great. Walking distance to beach.

Eloisa is worth the visit. The rooms were large enough and the beds were good. The location was perfect. The free breakfast was nice. The only negative really is the bathrooms do not have ptraps and you could smell the raw sewage.

We had a great stay, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is fantastic with everything within walking distance. Next time we come to Vallarta, we will definitely be staying at the Eloisa.

My trip was awesome. Hotel to the beach is walking distance. That was great. My reason for this trip was to celebrate my birthday. I met some good friends and celebrate togheter my birthday. I had a good vacation!!!

My friends room was robbed during the daylight hours while he was int he shower. The front desk made no action what so ever. The Towels were very thin, had to use 2 towels to dry off and one was so thin it ripped when i first used it. Bath mats are not provided so I had to use one of the thin towels for that. The breakfast was hardly a snack of fruit. Some of the staff was friendly some not friendly at all. The closets all have a small door that leads to a central shaft. the central shaft leads to all the other closets in the other rooms...creepy! The front desk guy locked the gate late one evening and I was told I had to wait until opening hours before i could return to my room.

When we first entered our room, disappointed, small and cramped-but clean. The stay turned out great because of the location and the staff was friendly. There really was no added frills, but as we were usually out and about the area turned out okay

I wasn't expecting anything from this hotel since I got a great price for the New Yrs timeframe! ..Breakfast was adecuate ..it was free!!

Need to get some hot water going for showers, and hand towels. Need darker curtains to stop the outside light .

The staff was nice but not very helpful. My bathroom flooded, they cleaned it using one of my towels, but they left the DIRTY TOWELS on the Sink next to my TOOTHBRUSH AND RAZOR. That was real BAD.

I was very pleased with my week long stay at Eloisa. The entire staff, front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, etc. was extremely nice, pleasant and helpful. I had asked for and received an oceanview/park view room . The room was very clean, with a large closet, and a decent size bathroom. This is a budget hotel, so I had brought shampoo, washcloth, etc. that I thought I might need. My provider had incorrectly informed me that a continental breakfast was provided but it is available Dec-March, only, , so I was not please about that. Next time I will also take a small coffee maker or heating element for morning coffee/tea. I especially enjoyed my shared balcony in the morning before the sun reached its peak and the rooftop pool area as well. The rooftop had a beautiful view with chairs/tables/loungers and a small pool for dipping. It was very quiet during the time I was there. This hotel is extremely well located for exploring the South Side and El Centro. Wifi was excellent. I opted for a room with a/c and tv, which is slightly more ...look carefully when booking. Do not stay here expecting a chain hotel or a luxury stay, etc. It is a basic, very clean, very well located Mexican Hotel with good ambiance. I am already planning my next trip to PV and my next stay at Eloisa.

Originally booked the standard room with air. Once we arrived, the room couldn't be any bigger then 10x10 or 11x11. It was a little box with two double beds, we were left highly disappointed. We went to down to the front desk and had to upgrade to one of their suites, which turned out to be a better (but that was after another $140 for the 4 night stay). The bed was somewhat hard and we found little baby ants. I will say the location was great for our visit cuz we were close to all the clubs we wanted to attend, so everything was with walking distance. If only they would put some extras that would be an amazing hotel.
