Slice of paradise

This place is amazing, everything from the staff to the view and amenities. Everything was above expectations. We stayed for a week but would have stayed longer if we had known how great it was going to be. We will be returning.

This listing was described to have a kitchen when we walked in we were greeted with a master bedroom closet, and the bathroom no kitchen. In the closet was a counter with a couple of small saucers couple of bowls, couple coffee cups couple of wine glasses some fork knives a blender, a coffee pot and a tea pot. No pots no pans no cooking utensils no stove no microwave In the description, it also stated icemaker was part of the unit. Was there an icemaker on site? Yes, there was were there grills on site. Yes there were but they were not part of the unit. It was a walk to get there. I have never stayed in a VRBO unit that was a kitchen before that is like this. It’s very unfortunate that this listing and others continue to be published the way that they are. I spoke with others on the property as well as staff who stated this exact same thing happens more than once a week we guess expect a kitchen for us we went grocery shopping in Lihue Prior to ever seeing the condo and we shopped like we would have a kitchen when we got there and realized all we had was a grill. We had to go to the local grocery store and buy pans so that we could cook our food on the grill. This was a big inconvenience. We had to make sure and shut the bathroom door because the toilet would run on and off all night and all day constantly waking you up There is a door between this unit and the unit next-door, you can hear everything going on in that unit and they can hear everything going on in yours.

I did not like the fact that the AC unit was not working. Had to do some last minute planning to get proper accommodations. I requested a full refund, but have not received any feedback, so I'm submitting a formal request.

Lovely Home

What a wonderful spot. It felt good to arrive here. The care that was put into creating this space was obvious. It felt like home, being surrounded by beautiful things and pictures that represent Hawaii. The view from the balcony was beautiful. I would definitely come back. Mahalo for sharing your space!

Great views but be ready for the hidden costs

Room is dated and seems like they haven't put any money into the condo since it was first furnished. Coffe maker looked like it was bought at a 2nd hand store. For the price you pay once all the hidden fees added up you should just get an actual hotel room with amenities at the touch of a button. The staff for the resort was awesome and the veiw was great. I think its time to put a little money into your investment

Great location

Loved this room. Only thing I have to say is owner should include a microwave and a change of linens abd snorkel gear. Also better internet would of been helpful.

Great Location

Great overall with location and cleanliness. You could hear the connecting neighbor pretty easily and the roosters outside (they're all over Kauai so you will literally hear them your entire trip), but if you go in anticipating this, they aren't that big of an issue. Drops to a 4/5 simply because I sent 3 messages through vrbo prior to my trip and never received a response. Other hosts at Hanalei Bay Resort are likely more responsive.
