Super 8 by Wyndham Prestonsburg

We reserved a non smoking room. When we arrived they only had smoking rooms available. The room was digusting, extremely dirty, cigarette burn holes on the bed, dirt every where, broken bed, fridge was disgusting. Very disappointed!!!

The stay her was a great experience. The room we had was just great. Everything was very clean and every one of the staff were great. Will definitely stay here if I am in the area again. Thank you all.

Comfortable stay. Friendly staff. It was what you would expect from a Super 8.

Room smelled terrible, looked dirty, everything inside was broken or poor condition, two out of three lights in the room were not working, leaving room with one dim light. No WiFi in the room, staff could care less. Before checking in, I specifically asked front desk if they have WiFi once checked in and in the room, no service. WiFi only in the lobby. Asked front desk again she replied “yea it’s slow right now”.

We stayed a few nights, the beds aren't the most comfortable. And getting clean towels was hit and miss. I'd call the front desk and they'd say they'd bring them up, needless to say they didnt.. The 3rd floor didn't have vending machines. As for the staff that worked front desk, a couple of them were friendly however there were a couple that were rude, wouldn't speak or acknowledge you there.

The biggest issue I had with the room was the fact it was supposed to be a non smoking room and unfortunately the maid liked to smoke in my room while cleaning it...the smoke order was unpleasant. I had to leave the bathroom vent running all night to clean the room air and with the bathroom vent running all night it forced the air conditioner to constantly run to keep the room cool. Simple fix for the hotel management would be to stop the maid from smoking in room while cleaning...possible offer to pay the maid for a smoking cessation program, if the maid is a hard working trusted employee!

in town for business and found this available. The rates were fair, the coffee in the room (the packets) was not. If your a smoker, they stick ya up on three, bring the febreeze. And if the highlight of your day is a nice long hot shower,,,,, better go elsewhere, it was wet, it never got cold, and if the water pressure were any lower, i'd have taken off the shower head!

When I checked in I had requested a non smoking and handicap accessible room. The reservation they had for me was neither. This motel is being remodeled and there was construction debris everywhere. The complimentary breakfast was not a compliment to your company. It was sparse and sad. The woman who worked the desk coughed and sounded as though she had TB. One day she was there from morning to night. Not real appealing. The shower was very difficult to operate and we were scalded by hot water several times. I think the motel needs to make over their make over.

So I check into my non-smoking room. It smelled like a dirty ashtray. OK, so it not suppose to be smoked in, not the fault of the people working there. They can't babysit all the guest. I went to the desk to ask for a light bulb and mentioned the smoke smell. They gave me another room. Old TV's that use a box that kept disconnecting. You had to unplug it for a couple min. then replug to get the channels. Vent in bathroom didn't work, hole in bathroom wall and in room side of door. Heater controlls didn't work well. It was good enough for the amount of time I was going to be in the room. I didn't expect a lot for the price but they need to upgrade this hotel. Hey, morning coffee was good! Staff was friendly, parking was great and easy to get to rte. 23. Oh, McDonalds right next door. Who's happier than me with Mac at my door.

Late at night this was a good place to find. No towels in the room, but the front desk responded quickly.

We arrived at the hotel late at night, tired and ready to go to bed. When I checked in, the woman at the desk could not find my reservation and informed me that the hotel was full. After searching for ten minutes she finally found the reservation, she seemed a little under-trained with the computer system. The room we received was a smoking room, they did not use any kind of deodorizer and the smell was very strong. The Bed was terribly uncomfortable, not a good nights sleep. The blanket had cigarette burns in it. They are a pet friendly hotel, that was good for our dog. They offer Microwaves and refrigerators in the rooms but the TV was very old and we has to user two remote controls, one for changing channels and the other to change the volume and turn the TV on. This would be a huge problem fro some people because if you change the TV channel from 4 all you see is static. I'm sure an all-in-one remote option would be cheap. The air conditioning was good and the hot water/shower was satisfactory. The bottom line: We stayed at this hotel because it was the only option not fully booked for memorial day weekend, we will not be staying again. My advise is to book early and find a better hotel for about the same price.

They had a sign on our door claiming non-smoking but the smell in our room of cigarette smoke was so bad wh had to go buy air fresheners so we could stand the room. Breakfast was good but the disapointment of the room overwhelmed the stay.

Well The staff was very friendly, However the bed was very hard I mean we can handle a firm matteress however this matteress must have been made from stone. (not just our room either other guest complained as well) On the day of checking out we requested a 8am wakeup call, We NEVER got it and were late to our destination. I spoke to the woman at checkout and she told me we got one and I knew we did not I'm a very light sleeper expecially cause of the stoned matteress. we woke at 8:24 straight up due to the time on clock. I did not like the fact she could not say sorry just call me a liar instead. I just dropped subject and checked out. overall its an ok place but I would get something else in pikeville if possible the town of preastonburg is laking so much.

Should have been told at check in that there was no water and would not have any for a while. Going to a funeral, had traveled for 4 hours and couldn't freshen up before going.
