The hotel was very nice. People were nice. The casino was a bit smokey and makes you stink. Also the slots do not pay at all. There was a bit of mold in our shower but otherwise clean. The security to get into the rooms is also very good. I like that not just anyone can go into that part of the hotel.

Paid for a view room, the room was great! The view.... Not so much. The architect dropped the ball here. Could have been beautiful if there was not the parking lot on the one side, and a facility yard on the other side of our deck. Very disappointing. Don't pay extra for room 748.

View of parking lot and service facilities was disappointing

If you neither smoke nor gamble, you have no reason to be here. Unlike Las Vegas where the best hotels have ventilation systems that make the air tolerable even in a casino, this one is very smoky, and the hotel entrance opens right into the casino. There is not a convenient way to get to your room, restaurants, or conference areas without passing through the casino. The restaurant has no vegetarian or vegan options--you can get very delicious salads though--but that gets tiresome. The buffet has make your own such options--and it is VERY GOOD. The pool is beautiful--but it is a play pool--not for serious swimming. I am a long distance swimmer--not even one lap lane..could be done--the pool is large enough--or a separate lap pool--there is room for that too. There is no accommodation for staying an extra day in terms of room rates--if you get a great Orbitz deal--like I did--don't expect anything like it to stay an extra night. The rooms are VERY nice. They are modern, restful, and beautifully appointed, smoke free and quiet with beau tiful views on the North side of the golf course area. If you are with friends--it is hard to find a quiet area to talk inside the building--and not in your room.

Everything was great. I thought the $28.+ "resort fee" was uncalled for.

To get in or out of the hotel you have to go the casino....which is a cloud of smoke and smokers! There are smokers also at the pools, the shallow pool for kids! Besides that, the rooms are nice and so are the pools. I probably will never stay here again as I hate smoke!

Had 3 rooms total. In one room AC did not work. Advised hotel staff but no apology or compensation offered!

No hot water no wifi. I was on business and didn't have the time to complain. You have to run the hot water for 15min to have access to it. If your room is at the end of the hallway you won't have wifi. Oh BTW they charge 25 dollars in fees a night.

Hotel wreaked of smoke, no windows in rooms and beds somehow were too small (my feet hung over the edge and I'm just over 6 feet tall.

very awesome bday celebration and as orbitz VIp platinum they upgraded my room to club and had access to club lounge! best hotel, best orbitz! will come back and book again with orbitz! Ana Gomez

To get to the room you have to walk through the smokey casino to get anywhere Failed to make up room one day and then lied about reason for failure.

Close to other entertainment. Great spring place to stay and catch some baseball at the Salt River Fields!

Rooms are nice, was very disappointed that the king size room did not have a bathtub. The biggest drawback to this hotel is the restaurants...not much variety, overpriced, and not very good.

The hotel is nice, modern and clean. But for what I paid ($280 night), the rooms are tiny and "queen" beds are not Queen beds.....a smaller version perhaps, like Princess or something. I just didn't get my money's worth. There are way better places nearby, a lot cheaper and Uber is cheap if you want casino action and drink too much.

Newer hotel has very nice amenities. You can tell they spent a lot of money on this place. Rooms are very nice with high end finishes. Only complaint is the smoky casino, and that you have to walk thru the casino to get in and out of the hotel. But being a casino, we did expect that. Easy access to the pool area from the rooms though.

I have always loved this place & am a repeat guest..now I am noticing the wear & tear on the facilities but no one addressing the issues..

Clean and beautifully appointed room. Delicious and varied menu for dinner. Fabulous views and friendly staff. Gambling available if you like. Will stay here again.

My wife and I stayed at the Talking Stick Resort over Thanksgiving weekend. Some pros: The valet parking was complimentary (we still tipped the valet). Michael - the valet was outstanding, charismatic, and really made us feel welcome. The bathroom was gorgeous and the design of the bedroom was pleasing to the eye. The room was quiet and we could not hear our neighbors through the wall. The view was outstanding but was impeded visually. The resort comes with a 24-hour gym with a great view of the city and nobody was working out late at night. Very few people using the pool/jacuzzi (late November) so you could sneak down there and enjoy the space. Orange Sky - the food was excellent. I recommend the green chile mashed potatoes. Blue Coyote Cafe - quick way to get a bite to eat before heading out in the morning. Cons We had an impeded view from window washing wires during our entire stay. (See photos) I asked the front desk if we could switch rooms as my wife and I were staying in a room with two smaller queen beds. Nothing kills romance more than sleeping in a separate bed from your own spouse. We were told that no other rooms were available. Not cool, & I doubt that. We were the ONLY people seated near the bar at Orange Sky and therefore we could not see the panoramic view. I asked to move twice before we were moved. I don't want to pay a hundred dollars for dinner at a bar, especially when other tables that are not reserved are available. The hostesses could care less

The first room was across from a noisy utility room. Management quickly changed our room. Next room location better, but needed attention from cleaning staff. Overall a nice hotel, but needs attention to detail. Pool and hot tub were excellent. Blue Coyote restaurant was delicious and server was great!

Wonderful place to stay. I've stayed there many times & have always had an incredible time! The band Journey was playing there this weekend by the pool & it was fantastic. Recommend to everyone.
