Love the upgrade— Robb gave us upgrade and late check out- really appreciate it! We will be back again for our important celebrations! Ana G.
I don't like the resort fee. I wish it was just absorbed through the nightly fee. The idea of pre paying for a room to get a special rate is fine, but to then be hit with more fees upon checkin is frustrating. The resort does offer a bunch of options all in one place. It was easy to get uber or lyft from the resort and the pool is great.
The rooms were awesome
has been staying there for years. Has gone downhill...tired looking. Room service told me that due to COVID only could put American cheese on a burger. That summed it up.
It was beautiful
Stayed early August, expecting no resort fee per their website on AZ travelers, they hit me for $25 a night. It's a beautiful resort, with mediocre service and staff. It took me 2 days to be acknowledged by any service staff. Few staff smile or greet customers. Not 1 dealer smiled as we passed, 1 mad eye contact. Asked several different staff including hotel reception, players card staff, and even security about the resort. Most weren't sure, none offered to find out any answer. I finally had to ask the concierge, who is not on staff 24 hours. The only 1 with answers! We tried their cafe Blue Coyote for food, VERY limited menu. Ended up getting Chinese food. Everything that came out, was covered in green onions. Yuck. Turns out the chef loved green onions. Tried a 2nd time for breakfast, no non-pork alternatives, same limited menu. Tried others, disappointed. Our room was beautiful, but very unclean. Found dust on shelves, prints on glass windows, even dirt! 2 queen beds, but 1 chair??? No room cleaning until you're there 3 days, no restock of water/shampoos. Shower leaked, had to put down towels. Cheap TP, soaps, tissue. Didn't want to give more waters, when I called for more. If its included in the resort fee, but they refuse it...? There was a water garden we could see from our window, which I visited. It was full of trash. Disgusting! We won't stay nor visit again in the near future. They use the pandemic as an excuse for poor service and staff.
the property is fantastic!
I have stayed at Talking Stick a dozen or more times - always an amazing experience.
The friendly front desk lady greeted us with such a welcoming smile and surprised us with an upgrade to a Gold Club room. I haven't won much in the past, but I felt like we did so we were very excited and grateful! The best part was meeting concierge associates Connie and Charles in the Tower Lounge who helped out in the early evenings. They truly made our stay the best and we're forever grateful to them for kindness, generosity and warm hospitality. Thank you, Charles and Connie! We will definitely be back to see you guys! :)
Did not like having to always go through the casino to enter or leave the property. Restaurants were mostly open stands. Not good dining options for a facility not near town.
Awesome casino
Everything
The staff and amenities were outstanding. I was impressed with the kindness, promptness and professionalism displayed here! It was disappointing that the spa and fitness center were closed as well as some restaurants. But overall it was a lovely place to stay!

Not kid friendly at all. If you want kids to be accompanied by a parent there needs to be a separate hotel entrance versus a casino entrance. Also the pool service was super slow. Hire more staff to serve the amount of people at the pool...hour wait, won’t stay here again and will advise others to not as well.
We booked a room and requested 2 queen beds. They gave us one king for 3 people. When we asked to change rooms the front desk staff was unapologetic and rude and offered a roll away at $25 a night. The services at other areas of the resort was good but the front desk staff that checked us in was frustratingly rude.

Lisa, Thank you for taking the time to complete a review! I also don't like resort fees - a battle I lost 6 years ago! We appreciate your positive feedback about the different options offered here - and hope you find time to return again soon! Robb McCreary, Hotel Director

Luke, I apologize for the ludicrous statement about cheese type restrictions due to the pandemic - I forwarded that to the F & B Director! Staffing shortages is hurting quality much more than Covid! Robb McCreary, Hotel Director

Josh, Thank you for completing a review and for your additional comments - we appreciate all feedback, negative or positive. The waived resort fee was only for the Playcation package booked thru the resort; you booked thru a 3rd party (Orbitz), so were ineligible. We're sorry you had unfavorable experiences with staff members - this doesn't sound like an enjoyable stay. Unfortunately, our Housekeeping procedures during your stay of full service are the standard in the industry as long as the pandemic continues - we are as exhausted with it as you are.
