The staff was friendly and accommodating. The hotel was very clean and breakfast was great for continental. The coffee was excellent as were the warm cookies in the afternoons.

Very clean
On our second night we woke up to BUGS all over the room. In the sheets, in the towels, crawling on the walls, crawling on us… we killed about 10 of them before heading to the front desk to be moved. The overnight clerk moved us to a new room but at that point the damage was done because when you wake up to bugs crawling on you at night, it’s hard to go back to sleep especially in a hotel. The room we were moved to smelt like it had been flooded recently and had the smell of a dirty basement but at least there weren't bugs crawling us… We noticed the satisfaction guarantee policy that the hotel has posted everywhere, and upon check out we expected them to make it right since our night was ruined. The best they could do was give $100 off. Tabitha, the front desk manager, made us wait for 20 minutes while she finished her “meeting” and then proceeded to tell us that they did all they could by moving us that night and giving us $100 off our stay. So not only did we have bugs crawling on us at night but they didn’t even make it right by giving us that night free. I understand somethin are hard to prevent, but at that point, the business makes the situation right. Guests shouldn’t pay for bugs in their bed or on the towels or crawling on the walls. I would not recommend staying with them, even in a pinch because now the trust is broken with the guest on if they are clean or not. You don’t know what you will be taking home with you either.

Loved the staff, they were so friendly. Disapointed elevators out both days of stay so called continental breakfast was a joke. Electrical outlets in my room, only some worked. Rooms very dimly lit. Location was good

If a kitchenette is a high priority for you, you may want to consider another facility. If you are looking for a clean, convenient pet friendly hotel with an exceptional staff do yourself a favor and patronize Mainstay Suites, Port St. Joe, Florida. The building and grounds could use some attention to cosmetics. The staff was amazing. Rooms, while in need of refreshing, we're clean and comfortable. Thank you Mainstay for making our escape from Irma as please as possible.
Only complaint had nothing to do with hotel but some very noisy guests outside the building in the very early morning.

Dear Guest, We do apologize for failing to meet your expectations. We assisted and accommodated by moving you immediately to a different room when on the second night flying ants had gotten into the room. There were no comments made about the second room during the rest of your stay having a smell. Also no statement was made at check out about this. However, since front desk was not notified on this incident we did not have a chance to fix that during your stay for the two other nights. The hotel did take $150 plus tax off the stay as stated at checkout for the incident made aware of for the second night. Sincerely
