I don’t usually write reviews, & I don’t have unrealistic expectations—especially when it comes to rental properties.But I do rely heavily on reviews when booking, so I felt compelled to share my experience for future guests.Unfortunately, this condo was not well-maintained.All of the mattresses & pillows were uncomfortable & clearly in need of replacing.The bunk beds squeaked & shifted with every movement, & the queen headboard wasn’t even attached-so it banged against the wall every time someone turned over or moved in the least.The furniture throughout the unit was in poor condition-worn out, stained, & generally in need of replacement.Cleanliness was another issue.The walls and baseboards were noticeably dirty, the floors didn’t feel clean, & the showers drained very slowly.I understand this is a rental, and I don’t expect perfection, but this went far beyond normal wear & tear.We also had problems with the parking pass, which never worked properly.We had to call each time we entered or exited the property.Lastly, the beach setup was frustrating.Guests were getting up before sunrise to set up tents along the front row at the water’s edge,leaving no room for others to place chairs or access the shoreline without having to go under others tents.Most of these tents sat unoccupied until midday.This impacted our beach experience.Many resorts have banned tents or at least require them to be set up behind the front row.Calypso should strongly consider this. We wont be back.
