Wha fantastic location and beautiful house. The minute we walked in we were thrilled. Spotless and welcoming. Chocolates greeted us with a personal note from the owner. The kitchen had anything you could ever need for preparing the range of meals. We loved enjoying morning tea in the sun room. The sun room is also a great space for morning or afternoon stretching. The bed was super comfortable and the gas fireplace kept us cozy in February. Also love the rain shower! A highlight for us was being able to cross country ski out the door and along the wilderness shoreline. The conditions were perfect for us. And we did it daily just before sunset. And the sunset! So beautiful over the porcupine mountains. One day we never got in the car which was fantastic!Thank you Jay and Michelle for sharing your home.

Jay and Michelle‘s property was simply fantastic and provided for a wonderful vacation experience. Their thoughtfully constructed property is well decorated and has many fantastic amenities, including heated floors, a shower with rainfall shower head and body sprayers, floor to ceiling windows, a very well stocked kitchen with quality appliances, a two sided gas fireplace visible in both the great room and master bedroom. Add fantastic hosts and a simply awesome, picturesque location and you have this fantastic property! The VRBO listing is actually very modest compared to the actual amenities for this property.

The property was lovely and the amount of remoteness. Our two Cavalier King Charles dogs loved being able to go to the beach. We hiked 3 days in the prgies and went Bond Falls and the Black River Scenic Byeway which completely satisfied our need for the beauty of the UP. The kitchen and great room space were wonderful for preparing meals and feeling like we were in the woods. The massive windows gave the sense of being outside. We would goagain in a heartbeat.

Loved everything about this property, especially the private location and stunning Lake Superior beachfront. Beautiful home full of special touches, features and attention to detail. Added bonus that it was pet-friendly for our small dog. Highly recommend!

I can't say enough good about this property. Very clean, very beautiful, very secluded. We loved staying here. This is the nicest VRBO we have stayed in thus far. It is very quiet inside and out. We could nap during the day and not hear a thing. The sunsets were stunning.The baths were large and water was always hot. Kitchen was I would say chef level. The beds were so comfortable.You could walk the sandy beach for miles.If your looking for a wonderful place to stay, look not further. You'll love it!Thank you Jay for your hospitality and your promptness in communication. Well done, well done!!!

Absolutely stunning cabin with beautiful decor and finishes. Cabin has access to a sandy beach on Lake Superior and a short drive to the Porcupine Mountains. Host was very easy to communicate with. Definitely recommend!

We loved staying at this beach house! The house is very clean and organized, and the kitchen was loaded with appliances and equipment to make nearly anything you wanted. Hot water worked great for showers and the bathrooms are modern and nice. The house itself is private and just steps from the greatest sandy beach on Lake Superior. Highly recommend for a family beach vacation or any stay where you want to unplug and listen to the waves.

Beautiful Lakeside retreat

Beautiful, exceptionally clean home. As another review mentioned, the pictures do not do it justice. If you're looking for a place to enjoy God's beautiful creation this is it. Beautiful sandy beach right on Lake Superior. Enjoyed walking the beach and seeing the beautiful sunsets in the evening. Jay is a great host and very helpful. Lots of special extras! You will not be disappointed!

Clean and peaceful

I had a lovely time. The house was very nice and clean. I loved the view from the big windows through the forest to the lake, and that I could walk down to the beach or sit on the deck and listen to the waves. It would have been nice to have some curtains or shades on the windows at night - especially in the bathroom and bedroom, but other than that, everything was really great. Overall, I had a very peaceful stay here.

Beautiful modern luxury get-away on a beautiful beach

This is by far the nicest and most comfortable vacation rental we have had the opportunity to rent. This house is absolutely gorgeous in every way. The location is amazing, private and easy to locate. It is situated on a wonderful beach on Lake Superior where you can enjoy quiet beach walks in either direction. The home is stunning, and the decor is over the top. Every detail is well thought out and top of the line. The person who decorated this house really did a wonderful job designing an elegant modern feel, and at the same time still offering a beach house coastal style. I enjoyed the kitchen so much, the dinnerware, cookware and appliances were beautiful, and it made cooking fun, even on vacation! The bed was so comfortable, I actually looked for the brand and ordered one to replace my bed at home. I can't say enough good about this house, other than I want one just like it. Thank you for sharing it!

Peace and Perfection in Ontonagon

This beautiful Lake House on the shores of Lake Superior is perfect in every way. Coming from Ohio- it felt like I was driving to the ends of the earth…but I didn’t mind one bit because the fall colors were brilliant along the way and the house itself is a worthy destination. Everything about it - the layout, the look, the location - was thoughtful and considered. The house exudes comfort and class. I felt so lucky to call it home base for a few days. Jay and Michelle provide any amenity you can think of…and yes- the kitchen really is stocked! Above and beyond my expectations for sure. They were also so welcoming of my pup by providing amenities for her as well- which made the time there extra special. I can’t say enough good things about Jay and Michelle : ) they are super kind people. communication was easy and pleasant. They truly treat you as an honored guest, with care and concern for your well being and comfort. I took full advantage of the beach combing, nature bathing, hiking, star gazing, lounging (such a comfortable bed) and the acoustics in the kitchen ; ) This was definitely a meaningful trip for me - my heart and mind won’t soon forget. Thank you Jay and Michelle for sharing your special place on earth with Mae Belle and me 💕

Labor Day Long Weekend Get Away

Wonderful place to enjoy the beauty of Lake Superior, amazing views of the porcupine mts and northern lights. The house is amazing. The nights were cooler but we kept cozy with the fireplace. Very comfortable place not lacking in charm.

UP Getaway

We love this place so much! Beautiful house, and amazing private beach! Our family had a wonderful vacation. We spent a lot of time relaxing on the beach, but there is also so much to explore nearby. We visited the Porcupine Mountains and many other gorgeous hikes. We will definitely be back!

The Best Property

The property was absolutely stunning. The whole house was tastefully decorated and spotless. The kitchen was stocked with anything you would need. The beds were comfortable. The deck on the house had a bbq grill and a propane fire pit with many comfortable chairs. The location was very nice and right on the water. The beach was beautiful and we spent every day by the water. Jay was very responsive and quick to respond. We will be back. Lu and Peter
