horrible bed. poor service and how they bill practically robs you. first they pre authorize your purchase with 50 dollar deposit then they refund your money for the whole room then they take it away again without your knowledge and screw up your bank account.

We had been planning a 50th wedding anniversary party with multiple rooms and a dinner over the Thanksgiving weekend. The group sales director was eager to help when we signed the contract, but would not return phone calls as the date approached. Calls to the front desk went unanswered and key promises made kept changing. Horrible experience and we cancelled the contract with less than two weeks to the event. Parents and extended family are left scramling -- will never stay at another Hotel RL again.

The people at the front desk seemed like they would rather be elsewhere, and didn't bother to tell me upon check-in that the tower room phones weren't functioning. I only discovered when trying unsuccessfully to call the front desk multiple times before giving up on the phone and using my cellphone. While eating at the hotel restaurant Friday evening, a waitress came up to notify my friend and I that the restaurant was closing. She then said (she didn't ask, she rudely stated) "You're done," and took my friend's plate (which was half full of food) away from her without offering a box. After calling the front desk to complain, the lady on the phone said "I'll tell my manager tomorrow and we'll get back in touch." Needless to say there was no follow-up. This was by far the worst experience I've had at a hotel, and everyone I was with or knew also staying there this past weekend had a similar experience. Staff at the lounge cafe was rude and snippy. While waiting for our coffee orders we were treated as a major inconvenience, having to remind the staff which drinks we were waiting for. A friend who purchased a bottled pop paid for their purchase and was waiting for it when the woman behind the counter, who pulled the pop from the cooler, asked "Why are you here?" To which my friend responded that they were waiting for their drink, only to be met with a huffy response. We also witnessed another guest ask which soup was available, to be met with a dead stare and "we don't have soup". The balcony doors in our suite were barely in the wall, and if you made the mistake of pulling on the handle while the doors were latched you could see the entire frame move. In the bathroom, a tile had fallen off the baseboard area and was just laying under the counter. Friends of ours reported that their shower took more than 30 minutes to heat up. Having stayed at this hotel previously, under different brand and management, it's quite apparent that the RL franchise put all of their money into renovating what used to be the zen garden and ignoring maintenance to any of the hotel rooms or other convention space areas. Staff is also either poorly trained in basic customer service/hospitality, or there is a clear company culture of "the guests are worthless". I don't have high expectations, especially when there is a big event and things can be hectic, but this past weekend (Nov 10-12) was absolutely unacceptable. Neither I nor my friends will be returning.

Hotel is clean; including lobby and rooms. Our king-size room had ample space for two. The two things we missed in our room was a coffee pot and an “easy” chair. (There was either the bed or one desk chair to sit on.) We enjoyed the open bar both evenings and the bartender Christina was wonderful! Give that girl a raise! We will be back!

I will never stay here again! There were empty liquor bottles left on top of the lights. Our TV did not work and we had no remote! We were lied to about the COCO Keys water pass. We were told they were included then get to the water park and was told no. They said we had to pay more for them. Tried to talk to the front desk and she said it was not her problem. The manger at COCO keys was great and fixed the problem. When we went back to our room the keys did not work. We tried 6 different keys nothing ( the door needed to be reprogrammed). After an hour we finally got into our room. After standing outside our room in wet swimming suits and towels. There was no heat, the fireplace would not work. The room was freezing!!! When we were leaving someone knock on the door and said she had us down for an 11am check out and asked why we were still there. This was at 10:37am. As for the water park the water was ice cold and the lifeguards were rude when I tried the warm up my son. I had him put his feet into the “hot tub”. The water was a warm shower.

Location of hotel is a block off of I-80 with easy access and good mix of shopping/restaurants a few miles down on 72nd St. Just a few miles to UNO Scott campus. Area around hotel feels safe & clean, although there are few places within easy walking distance. Parking near room was plentiful. Check-in was fast and easy with friendly staff. The RL also includes numerous conference rooms, a restaurant and a water park, so it's a big hotel with a large commons area (surrounded by a square of rooms, where there might normally be a pool) housing a bar and plenty of seating/meeting space. Some popular board games are available and the commons area is a comfortable place to congregate. The room was a bit smallish, but adequate for solo traveler or pair that does not need excessive space. Room contained a mini-fridge and microwave as well as a nice flat screen TV. There was no safe in the room. The room was comfortable but showed signs of wear and tear with lots of paint repairs, banged up corners, cracks in tile & a tear in the shower curtain. However, overall the room and bedding felt clean. The bathroom was typical although seemed dark with only a single light above the sink. There was little noise intrusion into the room from the hall or neighboring rooms. The AC/heat was noticeable but provided a nice background white-noise. Commons areas of the hotel were generally modern but again showed obvious signs of wear & tear with small trash, wrappers, etc commonly seen in corners & on stairs. The free continental breakfast also had hot scrambled eggs & diced potatoes. Other typical items include pastries, cereal, apples, bagels and hot oatmeal. There was regular coffee but no decaf coffee, tea or juice readily available. You can grab milk from the carafe available for cereal. Breakfast was served in the restaurant but was buffet-style and was not completely setup by 7:10 am on a Saturday. It sometimes seems that the RL is trying to be an up-scale hotel, which it is certainly not. But, overall, the room was quiet and comfortable, so for a reasonable price it's a decent place to stay, especially if you need to be in this area.

I found a mouse in my room,& even though the staff was nice & provided me with anther room. It left me with the caution feeling for the rest of my stay, like I couldn’t trust the cleanness of the room.

Couldn't find our room. Had room key reprogrammed 3 times. No coffee pot. Tiny TV's. Light went out in bathroom. Took staff over an hour to bring cups. Never had a problem when we stayed there before it was RL.

This hotel was one bad thing after the other. CocoKey is a lot of fun for the kids, but you will be MUCH better off staying somewhere else. The first rooms we were in were filthy and smelled foul! They moved us to the correct rooms (they were supposed to be adjoining) seemed clean enough. Only one shower worked, along with only one hair dryer. Neither of the TVs would even turn on, and the phones did not work, so we were unable to contact the front desk for anything. I had asked about the on site restaurant at check in, and they said it was really good. When we attempted to order they were closed, and later found out they shut down a year ago. The luggage cart was in terrible shape, and much like the rest of the hotel, it was falling apart. The portion of the hotel near the front desk seemed well maintained, but the rooms by the convention center and waterpark were terrible. AND they want to charge you over $200/night. Not worth it

Very expensive for what you get! The restaurant that is advertised on the website was closed indefinitely. They charged $5.95 for the continental breakfast. The only highlight was CoCokey. The rooms were dark and small.
