Had the Best Tome

We had the best time! We came up for a wedding and the location was so convenient to everything. The house was beautiful and very accommodating to different family members. The host was amazing and made everything to checking in, to making sure our stay was perfect, to checking out so wonderful. It’s probably the easiest VRBO experiences I have had! We loved it!

Stay with family for University of New Haven Graduation

My family and I spent 4 beautiful days at this location for my niece commencement ceremony from the University of New Haven. Check-in was seamless. The photos don’t do the property justice because there’s little amenities and convenience that the owner provided that are nice. The neighborhood is quiet, close to the beach, shopping and restaurants. About 45 minutes from New Haven, Yale and downtown. We stayed in May for a spring commencement ceremony. The weather was nice but not great. This rental property is ideal anytime of the year, however I think it would be best during the summer months where families can make great ise of the amenities outside such as grilling, corn hole and bike riding to the beach. Highly recommend.

Family getaway

We have a lovely 3 night getaway with 5 family members including my 83 year old mom. The house was extremely clean, roomy and in a quiet neighborhood walking distance to the beach and causeway.

Lovely holiday stay

My Mom, daughter, and I stayed in this charming Old Saybrook home over the Christmas holiday. It was easy to access the house and there were good instructions for how to use various electronics and appliances. The house was clean and looked just like it did in the photos. We enjoyed cooking our Christmas dinner and that there was plenty of space for our family of 6 to feast and play games together at the kitchen table. There were no guests arriving immediately after us and we very much appreciated the flexibility the hosts allowed on the check out time. We would certainly stay here again!

Happy Thanksgiving!

We enjoy hosting a festive Thanksgiving each year. Grateful for wonderful family who make the trip including across the country. This charming cottage feels like a second home to the ones lucky to stay last year as well. It's perfect for our overflow of guests. Spacious, clean and especially welcoming with a gracious host. We highly recommend visiting this lovely beach cottage on your next trip through Old Saybrook!

Old Saybrook is a very comfortable, clean, and well kept home. Sizeable bedrooms and baths, comfortable beds, and ample linens provided. Basically, check in using the security code and that's it! We are so happy we chose Old Saybrook for our stay, as it made for a very comfortable, and relaxing trip. We were not there long enough to have enjoyed the back yard grill, but surely would have if we could. BTW...the host is GREAT!!!

Clean Place in a Quaint Town

Very clean and well organized. They had a good assortment of kitchen supplies although dishcloths and more towels for the kitchen would be nice. House was spacious for our group of 7 with a nice room in the basement for our 2 young kids to play. Short drive to places of interest and dining.

Perfect OS getaway

This was a wonderful place to stay in OS. The basement area was great to have separation from the kids and they loved playing games down there or in the beautiful fully fenced backyard. Very well appointed kitchen with everything you need and the beds were super comfortable. The host was a great communicator before and after the trip. Will definitely be a repeat visitor.

Nice place near ocean.

Nice place as described and photos are true to life. We enjoyed our time perfect place for the family to enjoy while we were visiting my daughter at USCGA. Kitchen nicely equipped. Would stay here again.

If perfection was a place

Booked this property in the fall of 2022 since we knew we would be in the area for Yale's graduation in the spring. The pictures don't do it justice. Absolutely gorgeous home and it's located on a quiet street. Easy access to a beautiful beach nearby and plenty of outdoor space on the property (backyard is lovely). Loved having a washer and dryer on the property and owners have plenty of your basic necessities stocked. There is a Walmart close by (about a 5-6 minute drive) should you need anything else. The Apple TV does take a minute to figure out (maybe more instructions could be placed by the remotes?) but it wasn't the end of the world. Our rental vehicle was an Expedition and we had plenty of room for parking in the driveway. Only wish we knew about this place when we were bringing our student here every year, instead of only having one weekend to enjoy!

Fabulous home

What a terrifically clean and well appointed home. All was just as we would have liked, and we would stay there again just to be in such comfortable surroundings. We would welcome a few more bits of information in the orientation documents: we were not local so didn't realize the need for passes to go to the beach, for instance. And we struggled to figure out the television equipment -- maybe we are just old folks, but a few instructions would help. The property manager answered our questions promptly and graciously, and we couldn't ask for better.

Girl’s Weekend 2022

Host was very accommodating with our request for early check-in. Upon arrival, we were welcomed by a friendly landscaping team, letting us know they had just finished with clean-up of the property. The home was comfortable, well-appointed and was so, very comfortable for our group of 5 who love to lounge, drink coffee, drink wine, share meals and chat. Everything has been thought of! Location is close to Main St., a short drive, for some great shopping. We had a great meal at Penny Lane. A short walk from the house to a spectacular water view! 5 stars!

Beautiful immaculate home

This was an exceptionally clean home in a lovely neighborhood. We enjoyed our morning walks along the shoreline and watching local anglers. The home was well appointed for a few days with family. The location was convenient to New Haven and we enjoyed a day trip to Newport. Communication was prompt and helpful with property owner. Thank you for a lovely stay.
