The cabin is somewhat run down. The mattress in the master bedroom was hard as a rock, the shower floors felt extremely soft, as if there's a lot of water damage under them. The kitchen did have the necessary utensils but the nonstick finish on the pans is destroyed, which causes some fear of health hazards from cooking with it. It was adequate but I was a little disappointed.

I wish we would have been told ahead of time to expect multiple mice and roaches and that when we did our money would not be refunded if we left early. We were in the cabin from 4pm Sat, 8/31/2025 to 8:30am Sun, 9/1/2025 and was refused a refund or even a partial refund when we checked out Sunday morning. We do not have roaches or mice and did not want to bring them home. Our approx 14 hour stay cost us over 1,000.00. VERY UNHAPPY with our experience.

I was looking for seclusion and cleanliness and found both. Very pleasant. Will def stay again. The hot tub and fire pit were just a bonus. Only half the jets worked, but didn't deter from relaxing tired muscles after hiking all day

Nelsonville festival weekend.
The good news-cabin looks surprisingly better on inside than out. The bad- bugs!! We couldn’t get the tv hooked up to internet, only cable tv. Please get another light for outside, the property is barely lit in the dark. The company doesn’t respond thru the VRBO app, found this difficult especially with check in/check out system.

OUR GETAWAY SHORT TRIP
I was very impressed on clean this vacation rental was and roomy. We loved the kitchen table. it would be nice if a TV was in the second adult bedroom. Each bedroom should have 2 night stands if possible. Please add grab bars in each tub for us older adults staying there. Finally a detailed list of what is in the kitchen, would be nice. We ended up bringing some of our kitchen items not knowing you would have them. Overall, we loved out stay and would stay here again if grab bars and a TV would be added.

Quiet, country trailer
The trailer fit our needs. It was close distance to the parks and activities. The interior was made to look like a cabin in the kitchen and living area. It really dressed the place up. The hot tub was clean, but one of the three jets did not work. One of the bedroom doors wouldn't fully shut. But overall, they were monor hiccups.

The property was clean and put together well. The fire pit and area was awesome and so was the hot tub. Everything was as described. The only thing I would say is the porch view is even better than you can imagine. We will definitely be using First Choice lodging and possibly even coming back to this exact location. Thank you for a great experience!

Coyote Cabin was SO wonderful! Clean, bright, we all enjoyed the hot tub out back, A/C!! My husband and I enjoyed the TV in our room while kids could use the TV in the living room.
We were about 20-25 minutes from anything we wanted to explore. Loved the tubing with Adventure Pro, cave exploration in Hocking Hills, and horseback riding!

Bobcat Review
We actually ended up staying at the Bobcat house instead which was a nice upgrage from the home we had booked. The property owners identified problems at our original booking before we arrived and arranged for us to stay at an upgraded location which was much appreciated.
We had a fabulous time, enjoyed the amenities, yard swing was a nice touch. We just had a few suggestions - having a few extra blankets would have been nice as well as a few more board games - they can be purchased inexpensively at local thrift stores. The front steps need leveled but we didn't have any problems navigating. We enjoyed the hot tub but please note that only one side of the jets work. The cover is water logged and incredibly difficult to move for one person - it would be nice to have somewhere to slide it to rather than the grounds because it would be very difficult to lift from the ground. It would also be nice to have user instructions for the hot tub personalized for each location. The instructions available were very generalized and did not explain how to operate this hot tub in particular. With all that being said, we had a fantastic time. I was shocked that there were no mosquitos (maybe it was just the time of year we visited, but I took a 2 hour nap outside and wasn't bothered by any bugs at all despite being very close to a wooded area.) We enjoyed the fire pit, the hot tub, the well stocked kitchen (utensils and gadgets) and the spacious living space. Would highly recommend!
