I have stayed at the Hotel Yountville 6 times over the last 12 years, even before the remodel. Last weekend when my friend and I stayed there it was AWFUL!!! The service we received from everyone except the people at their restaurant was horrible!! The Hotel over charged my credit card by $640 and now I can’t get anyone to call me back. I’ve called 4 times with no returned calls. Ugh!!! I will never stay at the Hotel Yountville again!!!!
We enjoyed our stay and it was a great location for seeing local vineyards. Included breakfast, was delicious with a nice offering. Rooms are large, modern and clean with the best smelling products ever! You can purchase them on your way out! A must is the GenZee bikes how fun! Good weather we were able to stop in to some winery’s on our bike! It made for a picture perfect afternoon. Some confusion over our spa booking, in fact it wasn’t booked. They did work hard to rebook and gave us a small discount for the difficultly since it was their error. Pool was great! Nice place to hang out with a drink in hand after a long day of touring! Would highly recommend!
Hotel Yountville is a lovely property. We stayed in one of their very large suites. It was amazing. They were undergoing a renovation so some things were not so great. No where to put room service food once it was delivered. Quirky server. Room service menu is small and not complete enough if you want a good dinner. The bar near the entranceway did not have spoons (never stock them, they said), but I had a saucy dish and needed one. Nor did they have a fresh pepper mill. Amazing for a 5-star hotel. All in all it could be a great place and may have improved by now, but it needs some work.
We had a large, clean room with a nice patio. The location is ideal. A nice pool and public areas, very friendly staff. Details, such as landscaping and more timely room cleaning (basically more staff), and this would be a 5 star hotel.
Hotel was beautiful and located in a walk-able small town. The pool area was dreamy, and the jacuzzi was great at night even though the temperatures were in the low 50s. Check-in and check-out was a breeze. Guest services assisted us with shipping the wine we had purchased making it stress free. We received a nice complimentary bottle of Merlot, that was delish. Our bedroom had a nice fireplace that would warm the room up quickly. Room service was fast. The hotel provided us with bike's so we can explore Yountville easily. It was nice to have a variety of foodie - restaurants walking distance. Loved that the hotel partners with different wineries for complimentary tastings and discounted wine. April was their slow season, which was perfect as we were still able to visit wineries and restaurant we hadn't reserved. We can't wait to return for our 10th Anniversary next year!
Spacious room with fireplace and great amenities as well as near famous restaurants. Worth the 1+ hour drive from San Francisco. Located 1/2 block from world famous restaurants like Ad Hoc, Le Bouchon and more.
We stayed at Hotel Yountville during the offseason so we weren't able to enjoy the pool or our balcony, but our room was beautiful and the hotel staff very helpful and kind. Highlights of our room were the fireplace, the soaking tub, the gas lantern and the bottle of wine left for us upon arrival. Extremely clean, beautiful small touches that made our trip so relaxing.
Headed to the Napa Valley for valentines day weekend and the Hotel Yountville was the highlight of the stay. We had a premium king room. 2nd floor balcony with fireplace overlooking a stream. Definitely peaceful and the room was luxurious, huge rain shower, closet, and incredible bed. Steps are the only way to get to the room but the bellhop whisked our bags right up. Room service was ok, but there are world class restaurants in walking distance so do that instead. Coffee, Fruit, and croissants in the lobby in the mornings. Bikes, umbrellas(it was cold and a a bit rainy for our visit). Its pricey but well worth it!
It just so happens that the hotel was offering a romance package for the time we would be staying there for our 17th wedding anniversary. On the night we arrived a bottle of Chandon champagne was delivered to the room yummy! Since it was late when we arrive we decided to request the remainder of the romance package for the next night which was lovely rose petals as soon as we open the door all around the spa tub with take away candle and of course more lovely chocolates. The romance package came with monogrammed robes which I was really excited about! This was a suprise for my husband who always has a way of making our anniversary super special. I would have to say that was a slight downfall of the experience. One month prior I did email the monogram information to the staff who informed me that they would be reaching out to me one week before to confirm unfortunately that never happened and when we arrived we were asked for the monogram information again this was a Sunday evening arrival. On Monday night I made my way to the front desk to Inquire about the delivery of the ropes the young lady at the desk said that they require at least 48 hours in advance for monogramming I did let her know that I emailed the information one month before at which time she told me that the robes would be mailed to me and we would not have them before we departed on Wednesday. I’m writing this review only 4 days after we departed so no robes yet I will update. So disappointed:( but please understand the rest of the experience was five stars. The breakfast dining experience was excellent. The dining area was cozy with its fireplace. When we visited it rain the entire time and was cool unfortunately flooding for several of the vineyards on day 2. The omelet with mushrooms and garden greens with chicken apple sausage was my choice all three days. My husband enjoyed the poached eggs and sausage. The dining staff did an excellent job as well as the hospitality room staff that delivered out room service. The location of the hotel was perfect four a stay in the Napa Valley area we will be sure to stay here again.
My husband and I stayed in a Deluxe King room on the 2nd floor. The room has a balcony with chairs and in-room gas fireplace. The room is very spacious. The only negative for me was there was no door into the bathroom area so when you’re in bed, you can see into the bathroom. There is a farm door into the toilet area. We took advantage of the yummy continental breakfast served in the lobby - granola, fresh fruit, croissants, coffee and tea. There is a restaurant on site that we had the breakfast risotto (really good and something different). We took advantage of the hotel’s winery partners at Rutherford Ranch and Hall. At RR, we had a complimentary wine and chocolate and wine and cheese pairing (value $95); at Hall we had a complimentary tasting for two (value$80). Great outdoor space off the lobby as well as pool area.
