Got there. Had charges we were unaware of, hotel had window units for A/C which did not work and had to be replaced. Cockroaches on the walls. No microwave. Then they refused to refund me my security deposit.

I booked 2 rooms separately and requested 3 times that the rooms be together, they said they would try but they were different room types which I understand but they weren't even on the Same floor. I arrived at 7 am and was told I would be given a call as soon as the room was ready, went back by 4pm and the check in line was long, I was given my keys so everything was ready but I never received the call and the lady wasn't there anymore. The room was a lot cleaner than expected. The beds were very comfortable. The stove only had 2 working burners. My Ocean view had no ocean view, only pool view. The carpet could use a deep cleaning. The house keeper was very friendly and accommodating. Check out and location were good.

Overall the location was the only good thing about the hotel. The resort fees listed on this site are incorrect and when that was pointed out to the staff I was informed that it has been that way for 2 years. Once checked in we found the carpet in rhe room to be full of sand, the oven had old pizza in it, and there was a used sock under the bed. Following this the Wi-Fi worked the 1st day and then never again. The washers on the 1st floor were broke and again I was informed it was a previously known issue. I was also told the hotel wasn't responsible for making this known as they don't own the machines and to get a refund I had to call a number that was supposed to be on the machines themselves, the lady at the desk had to look it up for me which she was not happy with. Upon check out I was informed that there was an unpaid tax that I needed to take care of because yet again they hadn't updated Orbits about the price changes that had been in effect for multiple years.

I wasnt able to enjoy the stay of my room because i check in 1243 midnight when the booking was for march 6 2017

I really enjoyed my stay at The Oceanviking Hotel at Myrtle Beach. The room was clean and very kid friendly. The only complaint was that there was no tv in the second bedroom. The staff was friendly. The hotel supplied dishes for the guest to use. The hotel was in a good location and close to many attractions. I would stay at this hotel again in the future.

My main complaint about this hotel, is there were no staff for a signifigant amount of time, including early morning. I wanted to check out early, 6am, but there was no one there. a sign on the door instructed us to go to another hotel, 8 blocks down for service, but that hotel's office was closed. the office opened up at 7:30 am, however the employee was almost 15 minutes late. I am disappointed about that.

We had a tv with static. Called the office they sent someone immediately to fix it. There was no shower curtain we called someone to bring one they did. We were given plenty of towels. Room was clean and comfortable. When we arrived on a cold February night the heat was on which felt great. Overall, for the price it was excellent.

Toom could have been cleaner. Had some cob webs in the door way and window was not clean

Great place to party. Great location and the room was better than I expected.

We found cereal underneath the chair. It's was obviously a busy weekend and I could not find another hotel. But if it wasn't I would've

The hotel staff was not very friendly. I had an issue with my debit card being suspended because of using it crossing state lines. They thought it had been stolen and i had to wait until 8am Saturday morning to have it fixed. When I checked in friday night the woman at the counter said I owed an additional $22.50 and would not let me wait until morning to pay it.

Nothing like how pictures look. Could have been a whole lot better. Will not go bk ever again

I thought we were getting a good deal but like past reviews state you get what you pay for. I actually couldn't wait to get off of vacation because I hated this hotel so much. Everything from the walls the ceiling fan the refrigerator and the towels were dirty and stained. Thank god I brought extra towels they couldn't pay me to use their towels. The bed linens looked dirty as well and there was this horrible stench as soon as you step into the room and the chairs they had in the room were horribly stained as well. I don't think the room has been thouroughly cleaned in ages, at least that's how it looks. Like I said never again! I would rather pay an extra 10-20 bucks a night to avoid ever staying at a hotel like this that is run down. The owners/management should be ashamed of this place.

Based on the price, pleasantly surprised how large the room was and excited it had a large kitchenette with a medium size refrigerator. I will definitely stay at the Oceanfront Viking Motel on future trips to Myrtle Beach!

It wasn't bad. Rooms are big enough, everything worked. Not a bad place if you're on a budget, want to be on the beach and aren't picky. It would've been nice to have an earlier check in time but there are plenty of places to kill some time.

overall location good but poor parking, staff not overly friendly or attentive

When I got to the hotel I was charged $28 more than what I had already paid and a $50 security deposit. When you sign the sheet for your security deposit it says you can get it back between 8-11am on the day of checkout.WRONG! I had to wait until 20 minutes after 10 for an "inspector" that never showed up and the girl at the counter wouldn't check the room herself. I wouldn't recommend this hotel. The tv is spotty at best, there's no wifi, a side-view room actually means no view, and the bathroom and kitchen are very out-dated.

The hotel was very old. The stove was rusty and burners bent out of shape. Beds were old and bos springs had holes in material. Bathtub was cracked. The door looked like it had been broken into. Very bad place. I would never go there again!

This has to be the WORST Hotel that I have ever seen. The elevator didn't work, the room was FILTHY, even the walls were smeared with something that looked like feces. The floors were NASTY. I would definitely NOT recommend anyone to stay at this place EVER!

we arrived late and Had requested easy access to the room as my husband is disabled. this hotel went way beyond all expections to make it easy for my husband to get to our room. rge room was all it was stated to be and more. the staff could not have been better to deal with and the room wax spotless clean. easy access to the beach, I know we will use this hotel again and again for our trips to myrtle beach. i highly suggest to anyone traveling to myrtle to stay at this hotel for a great beach visit. [...]thank you viking motel [...] for a wonderful weekend for our grandsons birthday trip, it was simply perfect.
